Player respawn in custom prefab?

    Hello all,

    I have built a custom base prefab that I want to use as an emergency shelter / player respawn point. I have it working with an admin core and I have set every device in the shelter to public code 0000 (including clone chamber and med station). However, when a player dies they do not get the option to respawn at the base. I have been scouring the web trying to figure out how to set a respawn point on the base but could not find anything. Can someone please explain to me how this works? How can I make my base an option for respawn on death?

    If i remember right, there was a player spawn point you can place on the ground that might let players respawn there. Without the pad, I believe that a person has to visit the structure in order to respawn at it.

    Thanks for the reply. I actually added the player spawn pad to the structure also and it still didn't work. Kind of out of ideas now...

    I was under the impression that when a player dies he will get the option of the nearest available public or personal clone /medi chamber.
    I made a pvp game but the players join the server where the chamber is so they get to see it from the outset, and later spawn on it when dead.

    Though I was not aware of the must see it before you can spawn at it rule (if indeed that is the case) does it not work with a medi chamber either ?

    Try it using a hv with a clone chamber, also I presume this is all on a dedicated server ?

    Or if the other poster is correct then set the server to have a fixed starting point when a player first connects, then they will get to see the chamber from the start, rather than fall in an escape pod, just a thought.
    Presumably they will be able to respawn there from then on providing there are no other personal clone or medi chambers closer to their dying position on that playfield.

    Oh and take note that clone chambers only work on the same playfield you die on, so if you have players dying on other planets or space they will not get that respawn option.

    So was I, but I haven't seen that option when I've tested it. I've been doing the testing in single player on my machine, but I had assumed it should work the same way there as it does on a dedicated server.

    I was hoping to put these on every planet in my game so that there's at least somewhere to respawn no matter where you die. I was hoping to avoid having to have the player visit the shelter first. Not sure if that would work for what I'm trying to do.
