I am wondering when you are on other playing fields like planet to orbit and to the planet's moon. Do you have to be in the same zone for Auto drillers to work ? I would guess when warping they are different as well ? I been playing the game for some while but still wondering about these things. I just didn't have to much thought on this, so I figure I would ask because I would love to set down some Auto miners in other places ? Constructive feedback please ! Thank you !
They won't "work" unless someone is on the same playfield... however, when you return to the playfield, the game will calculate elapsed time and load ore and deduct fuel based on interval

In SP and MP they have a timer associated with them, when you leave the playfield, and then come back to the playfield the game adds up how much time you were away from playfield and then puts the right amount of ore and eats the right amount of fuel as if it never stopped running. But technically they do stop running when no one is in playfield. Pretty much what Brimstone said.
Thanks again guys I am enjoying the positive feedback. I already placed Auto miners in the one zone. Most likely I will plant more in otherzones while I am building my structure !
