I'm confused, or something is broken...

I started a new game in most recent version of EGS. My starting solar system (not just planet) is missing some of the ores I would need to build a warp-capable CV to go to another solar system that might have them. (No zascosium, erestrum) Is this a bug? If it's intended, what am I supposed to do? (I've never gotten, eg, erestrum from a POI since new version, so raiding POIs doesn't work either...)

  2. Everything should be in the starting solar system that you will need.

Some of the ores can only be found in the various asteroid fields in the starting system, so you have to go explore and search to find them (or get lucky with POI loot and/or dismantling POI's).

Your first CV may not have all the bells and whistles though, but everything you need for a bare minimum warp vessel is available.
The keywords there are "bare minimum"

You dont need erestrum or zarcosium to make a T2 warp capable CV.

Zasc and erestrum can be found through salvaging capital ship engines from wrecks around the planet and from loot in the easier POIs. But it is not a requirement for a starter CV.
