Hi, I'm here in my ship collecting scrap metal, i don't know if anyone has mentioned this before, but it would be nice to have a component to install in my capital ship with which to deploy a drone from the seat, it would be a good complement to the turret, mainly for looting, but you could also do small repairs on your own ship, etc. without having to leave the comfort of your ship. Maybe with some tiers that increase the range.
Many builds on the workshop incorporate a "drone hatch", which is essentially a door in the ceiling of your ship and is normally close to the cockpit. Simply exit the cockpit, spawn your drone and fly it out the door of your ship to repair or salvage. This is especially useful on high radiation or extreme temperature planets. I realize this is isn't exactly what your suggesting, but it comes pretty close. The idea of a tiered drone with increased range is fantastic btw.
