Biome with id 12 not found (index=7249) To do my testing, I created a starting planet and put the playfield.yaml of the moon there, so I can start directly on the moon to test it. When I start the game and start on the moon I get no error at all except for some POI that couldn't spawn. Since I got no error I put the file back on the moon1 folder that I created and start a new game and travel back to that moon with a ship, when I enter the moon I get the error mention above: Code: 04-13:14:23.827 09_14 -WRN- Biome with name 'LavaLake' not found 04-13:14:23.828 09_14 -WRN- Biome with name 'LavaFolds' not found It is a barren moon from default and shouldn't use the 'LavaLake' or the 'LavaFolds' at all, so I don't know why the game still looking for those 2 biomes. The error is so heavy that it created a log file of 700mb, yes 700mb and not only that, the longer I stay on the moon bigger the log file will be. It can go bigger then 1gb easy. Yes, had this too, occasionally. Exit your game session as soon as you see the flood of errors. It won't stop otherwise. If you can't reach the ESC menu, try typing in the console 'lpf Temperate' - This will load another world, from which you can exit to the main menu. ... Can't really remember what exactly was the remedy... But these steps might help: A- Clear your terrain data cache, found in ((steam...)\Empyrion-Galactic Survival\Saves\Cache (don't worrry, this data will be re-generated out of the save game's template folders on next load of a save game) B- Try starting a new regular survival save game. As soon the escape pod touches ground/ the popups are gone, exit it, and then go back to work on your other world. ... and possibly: C- Clear your save game playfield data, found in: ((steam...)\Empyrion-Galactic Survival\Saves\[yourSavegame]\Playfields\[name of world you visited] - (Will remove any POI, etc, world will behave as if freshly loaded) Reasons: -It seems in the log, that the game tries to access data that was previously written somewhere... -since it is searching for bome data. And you had a lava moon before... (Tohoku Moon) There could be data in the game cache or save game playfields that is a residue or incompatible with your modified world. - For modified playfields, there is terrain data residue in the most recent, regular save game folder... Of planets that weren't even visited nor are defined in the sectors.yaml. It seems, EGS uses a regular save game to host temporary worlds, e.g. 'lpf'-loaded worlds. Probably, after an update things may clash, if EGS tries to host a 'new-version'-world in an 'old-version-savegame'. ---- (Btw, I'm using the 'load playfield'- (lpf) console command to directly access playfield templates from the start menu. It's very comfortable, especially if you want to quick-check modified playfields after .yaml editing. Please keep in mind, that some changes to the world (e.g. texture editor) could overwrite your game templates. So, if you're unsure, make a copy of the playfield folder beforw loading, e.g: >Copy a moon playfield folder, as found in ((steam...)\Empyrion-Galactic Survival\Content\playfields\ , and rename it in e.g. 'customMoon' >Start EGS. At the main menu, open the game console. (See your keyboard settings for the correct key, in german it is the letter 'ö', i think in US layout it may be '~' In the console, type 'lpf customMoon' This will start the playfield as if loaded in a regular game session. - - Just the basic terrain, no POI/creatures appear, terrain dug outs won't be saved. Clear your game cache sometimes after using this command, there isn't a cleanup of 'lpf' generated temporary data (yet) ) ----- EDIT: Had just this (or a similar) error after an EGS update. The 'start a new savegame'-trick seemed to work there...
