A thought hit me today while playing. Is there a scripted command the community can use to spawn / despawn a build? I was thinking about the Ilmarinen and GLaD hideout, and the fact that they are still accessible after their roles have been played. I thought that Polaris was going to destroy the Ilmarinen, so it does not make sense that it is still present if the player returns to that system. Have it despawn after the player completes the mission and leaves the system? As for the GLaD Hideout and the Archive, have them despawn when the player leaves the system and have a "wrecked" version spawn if the player returns? For the GLaD Hideout, a legacy-infested shell of a station should the player return. For the Archive, a hallowed out shell of a planetoid with the docked mining ship gone. This can be further enhanced by adding a warp effect to CV's spawning or despawning, they warped in/out of the system. The system can feel a little more organic with ships randomly warp into / out of the system... Add a timer to freighters that are under attack, have them warp away after a preset time. (It's what I would do, run away if you cannot win.) Add a timer for BA's / CV's that are under attack, have a warship warp in after a set amount of time. Have a small and easily defeatable build warp in to drop off the troops at the Polaris mining station during the story mission? (It always bugged me how they appeared from nowhere, and I do not think they would have fit in that drone.) Likewise, have a similar (easily killed) build warp in to drop off the troops at the GLaD Hideout with a large warship warping in on the other side of the system that starts making their way to the hideout? (They were not expecting the player to be there, so the initial small ship followed by a big one to encourage players to NOT hang around.) Final note that is not related to the subject, it always bugged me how the GLaD Hideout had no ships for the personnel to escape in. Add Faux ships made from large blocks to the lower cavern like I did in my fleet build? There are smaller ones in the hangars of the Crows I submitted for the Civilian's ships.
There is a dedicated folder for all builds in your game folder. If you copy an object from there in your blueprint folder it will appear later in-game in your blueprint list and you can spawn them at will, be it with the factory or with the console command, ships and POIs will be without NPCs and without special loots, but all decors and normal containers included. If you succeed in placing a personal core in a POI or any other object you can also take a blueprint and respawn it. For despawning something there is the destroy command with the console.
It would be really nice for the mission system to have the ability to spawn in a POI when a player enters the playfield. This would also fix missions for MP where someone else had already ran it.
