    Hi all,

before opening a bug report, I wanted to check if this could be a server issue:

I have a couple of water generators deployed near my main base. Whenever I go to retrieve the water containers, a small number of those generators look as if they just started (full energy slots, almost no containers). Same happens with auto-miners on other planets: Visit planet A, auto-miner is out of energy and full of ore (as it should be). Visit planet B, auto-miner has all energy packs and basically no ore, even though I set it up at the same time as the one on planet A. Both issues happen on random (but quite often).

I'm using a small dedicated server hosted by Nitrado (4 players, I believe 2.5 GB RAM max) - can that be a problem?

    Cheers!

You don't say if you have powered the generators before leaving them, I don't know about servers but that's what you need to do. Once you fill the slots with whatever energy the info display will change and the production rate per time is displayed (and the working sound of the generators can be heared). You need not only to fill 1 slot but all the slots for maximum efficiency, also with auto-miners the return rate and the time needed will vary based on how rich the deposit is.
In all cases, it takes a longer time to get the generators filling a decent amount of water containers. Same goes with auto-miners and water/O2 condensers.

If you already did all that correctly then it's a server problem, which I don't know what the cause is, I don't play on servers. In Steam I've read bad things about Nitrado server for this game, they don't offer much support, players don't get it to play correctly, but I cannot comment further, it's just what I've read without keeping my attention. Here is the last example of it (maybe out-of-topic for your concern):

Hi, thanks for the help: Yes, I powered the generators before leaving them. They are full to the brim with fuel cells when I leave, and when I come back, most of them have used up their fuel - but some look as if they just had started. That's the weird part and why I'm posting this question.

Note that it happens with auto miners too, although I don't know if it's related. With the auto miners it looks like the playfield is not getting updated correctly while I'm offline/not on it.

I checked your link, maybe I should switch to another service. We paid a year in advance (60 bucks), so I kinda hesitate to just give up on the server.

What I do is I fill only 1 unit of energy in each slot, I think you cannot even place more of them, I chose the big prometheum fuel, when it's consumed then you see a blank slot, that's ok, but you should see products returned. It's SLOW, after real 2 days I check back and there are 200 containers or so. The water/O2 condenser stuff and autominer are faster, but even much faster is to mine an asteroid with a small SV equiped with 6 lasers, you get 3000 ore units in about 5 minutes mining, ridiculously better than this automining stuff. The autominers are only worth if you place 10 of them on a planet and then return to pick them up in a few days, but by the time you place all these devices you would have mined 10x more with asteroids, the only upside is that you can do other things in the meantime - but don't be in a hurry to get your ores...
