What does this console command exactly? It says in its help text "...will spawn a vessel using the PDA interface" but after inserting correctly all possible data I don't see anything in the PDA, nothing allowing me to spawn anything. As far as I understand it, this command is meant to spawn a vessel with an existing prefab name, how many of such vessels, assign a faction to it, assign a target ID to attack. So, in my space playfield there is a patrol ship of Polaris with ID 1209; I have then inserted this command: aimanager pdavessel x Pir 1 1209 As for the instructions, the 'x' will use a "default prefab" whatever this is, IDK. After the '1209' I haven't inserted the <angle deg> " and also didn't insert the <bool: warpeffect>. Nothing happens after this, nothing spawns in the playfield (I have used the map command to see everything), and, as said, there's nothing in the PDA to do. So, what is this command aimanager pdavessel? What is it supposed to do? Thanks!
Was this in creative or survival? It will only work if the AI is on. Also I don't believe patrol vessels are valid targets. Needs to be a base or maybe the player. I've only ever spawned patrol vessels via the PDA itself, not the command.
It was in Survival, but before inserting the command I have enabled god mode and tt to place me near the Polaris OPV. After it didn't work, I have then used the command in parenthesis 'pdaopv' and it worked, it seems that it does to the same as spawning a vessel with the addvessel command (which also works), the spawned ship will be Zirax, not the Pir I have set. I still don't know what this has to do with the PDA (the pda command in the console is there for mission management and scripts, I don't think this is related, and in the PDA I've seen nothing new added that would allow me to spawn something.) [Edit] With the 'PDA' do they mean the Blueprint menu F2? Because I was looking in F1.
Really, I've never seen that. I'm playing in SP, not in PvP or such. Do you mean the PDA after hitting F1 which contains the tutorial section, the missions, the Empyriopedia ? I've seen nothing there.
It's used for missions, so you would need to use the pda web tool (or manually write it if you really really want to) and make a mission for it. I use it in several combat sites in Reforged Eden. I also added admin only missions to spawn patrol vessels. The console command I believe simply uses the same mechanic to spawn a ship just like if it was spawned by the PDA itself. The console command doesn't add anything to the PDA, it just spawns the ship. But like I said it probably needs a target like Player or a POI. Using a patrol vessel as a target for the attack doesn't work.
You are right, thank you. I can use both the addvessel and the pdaopv command, it will spawn a Zirax-owned vessel, I just need to give the right group name or bp name for any specific vessel (and if needed change the faction owner), it works but you need to go in 'gm iv' when you spawn and better not have any of your ships nearby. Although I was neutral with Polaris, a shielded vessel of them (which I spawned before) came to my help 6km away to support me against a Zirax corvette, it was a nice but short battle fest.
In all this confusion, I don't know how I've managed this: I have now a Pirate vessel (Quin Merac) that always follows me wherever I go and it will attack everything enemy to him...That's nice, it means with the aimanager you can create your own ESCORT Now the question is: in my numerous steps to test the aimanager, what command has caused this, it must have been the pdaopv command, but I'm not sure.
