So this is a simple and basic poll asking what you would like to see for a Wiki. So here is our 2 choices. MediaWiki: https://www.mediawiki.org/wiki/MediaWiki The downside is its very complex, made for really large scale application like the famous Wikipedia runs off it. It also means that most users could never contribute to it because of the sheer complexity of it. We also need to find someone to help moderate it. XenCarta: https://xenforo.com/community/resources/8wayrun-com-xencarta-wiki-pro.1690/ This is a lot more simple to use and maintain. Though it does not offer all the complex and advance features of MediaWiki. But it does mean more people can contribute but also more integration to the forums including user access. Either way XenCarta can be later on converted to MediaWiki if we find someone talented enough to work on a such Wiki page in the future.
Wikia is basically MediaWiki flooded in with ads. The thing is we would run the Software ourselves. It would not be run by a 3rd Party. Meaning we have full control.
No end date on the vote. I was really not rushing it that much. I been pretty sick and getting worse so It might be a few days till I set it up but I don't think there is quite a major rush yet on it.
Got it, well, I guess that the wiki will be up and running once the game comes out, but either way, I'm exited for it and the wiki.
I suspect that keeping any such WIKI simple to start with is a definite advantage, Kane. Also, as you suggested, the Basic WIKI could always be converted at a later point. With each passing day, new forum members are joining and odds are, someone will have extensive knowledge of MediaWiki and offer to assist. I would offer myself if I knew how.
