Not sure if this belongs here or in The Hangar Bay section. THB seemed to be for releases, not questions. Using ravien_ff's "Scenario for Custom Config Mods", made it easy enough to create the starting planet I want to start with on a custom start. A large Arid with O2 (after 2 days I end up with a lifetimes supply of O2, so constant refilling just gets annoying). All the options for creating the planet itself are pretty self explanatory in the yaml. But for this playthrough, I plan on doing no or limited mining. Basically I can only build from items I loot or salvage. So the "new" style of planetary POIs for the starter planets just don't cut it. What I'd like to do: 1) Get rid of the story missions. (Do I just comment these out?) 2) Get rid of Talon and Polaris settlements. (Again, it looks like I can comment these out, or set them to 0) 3) Only have 1 Polaris trader on the planet. (looks like there is an option in the yaml for this) 3) The big one for me. Have a much larger Zirax presence. Basically like the starts on older versions of Empyrion, with a scattering of Zirax POIs across the whole planet. With some being individual structures and some being clustered together. 4) If possible, have 1 Zirax patrol craft that roams around. (not a requirement, but would be nice) What I'd like to do later, but will just settle for the starter planet I want first: 5) Have the moon on the "starter" planet also have more Zirax POIs, instead of just a single drone base. 6) Have other planets in the starter system be more like the starter planet I am trying to create. With a strong Zirax presence, maybe 1 trader but no "friendly" settlements. And I'm just going to ignore the rest of the galaxy so it will just create a random one except for the starter system. I've looked for tutorials and it looks like most I've looked at are out of date. Will the Empyrion Playfied Designer work for this? From some comments I've read EPD seems outdated, but it also looks like maybe it has been updated? Also, do I really need to go through all of that, or is there just something I can change in the yamls? Thanks, and sorry for so many questions
EPD has been updated so it should work, though it might be missing some of the newer playfield parameters (you're not likely to need those for this anyway).
