Hi all. I've been playing about with Alpha 12 for a while now and while I love the huge galaxy I'm finding that it gets very same-y very quickly. Every snow planet is the same, every lava planet is the same, etc. I'd love to make a scenario that had a much greater variety of planets. For example, low- or high-g versions of all planet types. Low- and high- hostility versions of different planets. Planets with multiple biomes and a greater variety of biomes. Planets with more population and POIs of varying types. It'd be great of some of these factors could even be randomized, e.g. random numbers of planets & asteroid fields in a solar system, each of those planets being a random size, with random gravity, random biomes, random POIs and faction presence, even random wildlife. Is such a thing possible in E:GS at the moment? I've not done much more than peek at the structure of the game and have done some simple experimenting with configs, etc. I've got a lot to learn but I'd really like to know if my goal is even vaguely realistic before I dive in fully. Many thanks for any info
Awesome, thanks I'll start trying to work out how it all works then, plenty of tutorials to peruse. I may be gone for some time....
