Since alpha 5 and 6 have brought so much change to the early game, I thought while we're waiting for the next exp, I'd do a let's play miniseries with more details on the early game mechanics and gameplay.
In episode 2 we work our way up to a Hovercraft. In Episode 3 we restart in the "Dawn of the Galaxy" scenario and pick up where Episode 2 left off.
In episode 4 we build a small vessel from scratch and take it to the moon to get some sathium and blue crystals.
In episode 5 we dink around prepping to build a CV and run into every possible distraction/sidetrack.
In episode 10 we try to get some basic mining and exploring done. Thanks to the arthropod population of Ningues we get a lot less than I wanted to.
Saved by the bell! Now I get to restart for episode 11 and don't have to run the gauntlet of spiders to get back to the Trading Station.
Episode 28 is filled with derp and hilarity. Includes a trip to the moon, mining in space without protection, building a quick & ugly CV, hundreds of screwups (*number might be exaggerated) and the Danos space race mission.
In Episode 29 I show how to use some of the console commands and we use these to go check out the Danos race mission for real this time.
In Episode 30 we restart on Ningues with a work-in-progress custom scenario I'm making. Episode 31 continues where we left off... we're trying to beat the clock and get established before the hostiles show up.
