Yet another redesign of the HUD, I think I'll leave it with that This is really time consuming... Or maybe add a scanner... oohhh.... ideas.... Luckily there are some pre-existing scripts EDIT: 45 mins later.... And yes they show dynamic values if you have installed the empyrion scripting mod by astic!
Your hell planet reminds me of a similar planet back in ... before the planets were enlarged. I played on a private server from Theewolf, i belief his name was. That is where i met Spanj and Chief Rocky & such. Couple years ago. Anyway, they had the first "larger planet" build them selves. It was pretty scary, rough lave planet, pitchdark most of the time for effect. This due to a thick very fast moving dark cloud deck ( moving 400 km/h or so) that looked like a hellish storm nearly constantly, with a normal day/night cycle tho. This gave a real grim effect. Temperatures unbareble during day cycles, wich meant rather quick death if you were out with no vehicle or base for cover. During night cycles it cooled severely so that at certain times it was survivable . Regular fiery meteorite showers were part of the picture. The planet was filled with overlords and assassin creatures & such. Steep mountains and deep crevaces scared the landscape and big & small lava pools that filled lots of cracks. Ofcours zirax with top POI's and PV's had to be in aswell. It was a much wanted planet for the 2 PvP factions to fight for "mining rights" over, no BP's allowed/disabled at all server wise. The rules were as such that deposits (wich were set undiggable) were to have set a mining base over (only 1 / planet), wich were you could set autominers on, claiming it. All the rest of the mining was through regular falling meteorites across the planet. Without this "miningbase" there was no right to mine the meteorites. As there was only 1 resource per planet, this hellish planet was the only gold planet central between the 2 faction galaxy wise placed. Deals had to be made for certain resources in the enemy's faction side of the galaxy, hence the gold ... This was an 'always-on-yr-toes' type of planet. The battles were rough, be it from the faction, the planet's environment or their natural inhabitants. The arrival, building a base in those conditions, the critters, the attack/defenses & the goldrush .... Man , those guys had it going. Unfortunately it fell apart due to lack of regular players diminishing & badmin abuse, different timezones, etc. Sorry that i went on a fringe here, but THAT was a hellish planet. Had to paint the full picture to explain somewhat. Still remember the harshness, the moments that y'r chillin in yr driller HV chasing gold rocks with a tune in the background. And next some slip up gets you in all cascading line of troubles. Hope i gave some inspiration
The only problem is: everyone wants to use the largest embedded pic size possible, which makes those who are trying to view on Mobile devices unable to see pictures without crashing, and even my Laptop starts crying whenever I come here (side note: My normal PC is down for repairs)
@GoldDragon tell me about it... Only in my case it is a real cheap I-Net Connection on an, for my liking, absolute low level So when coming here my Laptop needs 15-20 Sec until I see all Images here. Before that I had a different and 5 times faster connection - no trouble at all.
WIP - (CV) MH-Leopard (working title) Main Body is now closed including flight deck/hangar for 2 AeroTech Fighters Main Bridge, Recration Area for the Mech Crews, Cantina, Garden, Engine Deck - No Truster so far besides of those on the upper side. Have to make a trip down to the Planet again..or several... to get more Sathium and Iron to make more Hardened Steel Blocks.
Maverick, I'm currently working on something similar. Could you screenshot or describe your countdown timer logic? This is what I've come up with so far, and it works to an extent. The problem seems to be that either there's some logic problems in the game when there are too many operations in play, or there seems to be an error in order-of-operation after circuits have been deleted and replaced. I was curious whether the circuit you're using might be simpler than what I'm doing. This circuit drives a two-digit display, with an iterative timer counting down ten-second intervals on the left digit, and one-second intervals for the right digit. The screenshot below shows a portion of the 10-second clock which counts down from 9 to 0. When either clock nears the end of it's run, I start getting phantom digits for some reason (am using overlaid projector displays to display the digits) where a character which has already been turned 'off' suddenly reappears over the correctly displayed character. I'm also wondering if it might also be a problem with the game's handling of multiple projector displays when they're forced to behave according to the whims of signal logic timer circuits.
Could a bit proceed with the CV. While running completely out of Iron and Sathium I started to "design" and texture the inside areas which may see additions eventually but most walls are done. Propulsion Systems are in place now too, might also get some additions. Downward Truster could be necessary to be increased when my CV can't lift its Arse off the Planet. Bridge Flight Deck Double Airlocks as Flight Deck is not Oxygenated Scrambling Area for Pilots Cantina and Garden Main Cargo Hold and Production - 4 x 320k CC plus 20 16k Containers.
It might have something to do with those Spotlights. I try it with normal lights for a change...but I doubt that it would be different
This is where some 'old' tech would be handy. Way back when... browsers used to have a readily accessible option to not-display pictures, simply due to low bandwidth. There would be an icon you could click on in order to view a pic instead. A quick look around FF didn't reveal one though, so no idea which, if any, browsers might still offer something like that. Another bit that bites is the 'refresh/reload'. Old default was to only refresh things that had changed. Now a days browers fully reload everything on a page, just to support Ads. And I've never understood why so many games Screen Shots use pic formats like bmp or png. The cpu cycle cost of compressing into jpegs can't be that high, can it? If EGS saved screen shots to high-ish qual jpegs rather than pngs it would be around a 75% file size savings. (side rant: Refresh used to mean something quite different than Reload. Now they're both widely taken to mean 'fully reload everything'. And the -only- groups that benefits from this that I can think of are advertisers {and those they pay to host their ads} & connection/bandwidth providers. We all wind up burning much more bandwidth, servers serve many, many more pages than needed, and all we get in return is more ads.)
Encountered this Polaris Trade Station today: My first thought is "Cool! A station embedded in an asteroid." But upon landing, I realized the builders of this station never hollowed out the asteroid: If I was the owner of this station, I'd want my money back . Seriously, is this intentional? If it's thought to be bug-worthy, I'll create a separate post for it.
It is rather a spawning issue than intentional. It happen if to many POI's are in Orbit/the play field. Sometimes the game removes them and sometimes such a "spawning-issue" occurs. Frustrating issue.
Tried the Light change... and no change...even worse...as the Light does not reach to the Hangar floor even on max intensity and range...14 Blocks are simply too far. Range ends at 20m.
Still trying to get back in the creative mode so I worked a bit more on the "Nether" POIs for this hell planet: This faction's POIs will all have an admin core so you can't just blast your way in, and they'll have no exterior defenses but be extremely difficult once inside. Admin cores also allow for custom loot.
Let's see... Today i've finished the Creative Library (planet) Tutorial starter base. Consists of 3 platforms and a hangar. Hall of Creation Like the space version, the Help screens rearrange themselves depending on where you're standing. I also just finished the 6th new modular base (space this time). I did 1 - 5 yesterday: starter to lategame (terrestrial).
Released 2 related ships Get the CV, and it will: (requires cargo boxes to have specific names) * Move cargo from SV to CV * Move cargo from CV to BA CV: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1886301103 SV: https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1886298536
WIP - almost finished. Still fussing around with textures and colors adding some detail illusion/perception.
