Co-op server freedom mode (has been a problem since A11 and seen a lot in survival mode).

    A12 build 2879

Vessel position does not load correctly for a new player entering the area. It can definitely happen when entering the playfield but even on the same planet, if that player is a certain distance away and then comes back to base, he/she may not see a vessel that was moved in its new position but rather the position it was in when they left.

Since vessels appear in outdated positions. This may make the vessel appear invisible (but really it is just elsewhere in that player's view) until another player enters, turns on, and moves the vehicle a little bit. Then the new player's playfield will suddenly have updated vessel position.

How reliably reproducible is this ?

I assume that means you guys haven't seen this yet. More regular than the CV block morphing bug. It even happened right off the bat for the first time starting an A12 game in freedom mode when my friend came back from scouting for the starting planet drone base. It was always present in A11 and before too, which is why I call it reproducible but I'll verify if it is in A12.

My brother and I are in a faction and are frequently at the same base. But my friend has his own faction but we often join forces for battle or exploration. It seems like it's almost every time he comes from his base to ours or comes to dock on my CV, he will see a ship in an old location. Even if my brother leaves our base on a planet, goes to the moon or something, comes back, and if I've moved a ship and left it parked in a different position then he would not see it in the new position.

I already had a test in mind to dig into this one so I might be able to try this with my friend by the end of the weekend to verify exactly. I will post any observations here.

Yes, 100% reproducible with a few tests to determine the conditions. It doesn't seem to happen when there is a loading screen to enter the area, i.e. using a teleporter. However, it happens consistently when a player goes outside the render distance, another player moves the vessel, and then the first player comes back to the area. But here's the bug...it only happens if the vessel that was moved is docked to something when the traveling player comes back.

In other words, the vessel in question is moved from a position (docked or not) to a docked position on a CV or Base. In this scenario, it was 100% reproducible in a handful of tests where we went just outside the render distance (about 3 to 5 map grid squares or somewhere greater than 1.4 km for our graphics settings).

Sounds good, thanks! What's also fun is that either player can get in the version/location of the vessel they see and, to the other player, it will appear as if the vessel rapidly "flies" to the other location that was invisible to them. Vessel teleportation anyone? ;)

A fix for this will be available in the next experimental phase.
