& ya know what the real kicker of it is? Ya can't even Sue'em... The Devs haven't Implemented Lawyers... or Trials... or Courts to have Trials in...
Besides having a few looks around the galaxy (blurgh...green suns) i made a small starter base today.
Took a break from the Mk2 of the RS Yukon to work on a new freighter design that features drop pods. Each pod will be a CV that has all the basic survival items and more. Thought it might be an interesting way to colonize the various planets. If nested docking becomes a thing, you could dock an HV / SV in the Pod and deploy it as a set. Have the basic shape of the boom (front part of the Mothership) and habitat pods worked out, and that is about it at this point.
This actually would be possible using dialog. You could even collect evidence that could help you convince the judge or jury, and choose different arguments to use that can affect your outcome.
Been going through the old POIs and either overhauling them or updating them. The old Ancient POIs getting a Legacy makeover. And today it's been the Xenu Shrine, Xenu Fuel Storage and Xenu Power Station. Old vs New Xenu shrine. New and Old Xenu Power station (WIP). So far all i've done is the roof of the building. There wasn't much on the old/current one's roof so it's basically a blank canvas. The inside doesn't really need any work except to connect the exterior capacitors to the room below, which due to the change in the O2 system a version or two back rendered the base unpressurized with a gap around the big glowing boxes.
Found that building POIs can be a lot of fun.... finished my second one which took a bit of time (and thanks to SifVert and Ravien for advice along the way with problems and getting it to spawn)... looks quite good,wonder what the Zirax are Converting?
Tried to make a low level space base i can place near the starter moon with as much storage as possible and certain comfort. Lowest for me reasonbable was level 7 unlock (medic station needs lvl 10, but i got a place reserved for it). On the small upper level there´s a bed, toilet and shower.
Shout out to all you guys who have worked on the POI's over the last year. After being gone from the game for almost a year and recently started playing again, I can say I've noticed the work you've done on not just new but updating some of the old POIs. The Titan wreakage looks great as one example. Thanks for your hard work.
Started out with a little Level 1 Hover with a few cargo boxes (not tested, not sure how well this thing behaves when filled up ). Then i wanted to make a low ressource sv which ended up too big once again and thus i made it a more advanced fighter/poi looter. There is actually already space for a shield and pentaxid tank, though not for the two t3 cores they need. This can be solved by removing the mobile constructor (not even sure why i put it in there anyway), or exchange o2 station and armor locker for both t3 cores. That still left me with no cheap level 5 and as i was already in the swing of things i ended up making whatever the thing in the middle is.
But... a very important part is missing... the Hair to go along with it! (Kudos if ya get the Reference!) Ya are gonna Guinea Pig this idea & test if this is survivable before inflicting it on others... right?
My first build in A12 (I've been using the Hoverbike for HV and UCH Dart M1 for SV (Thing still needs repairs, tho)). Cargo Hauler is about 1500 CPU (Max T1 is 5000, btw). Handles decently, but nothing to really write home about (The damaged Hoverbike still outdoes it there). Doesn't turn very fast, but even under max load has good speed. Other two problems are: the three cargo containers on-board only hold 250 SU (I could have sworn the description said 500?!) And how to build non-block vessels (LOL!)
