simple modding of the planet types is currently possible, and easy to do. i'm thinking of seeing about renaming the sun to galactic core and defining each orbit as a system at least mentally, it's already set up so that that is the logical next step i wish that there would be a second factor that affected the seed so different worlds of the same type in the same game were actually different..

Yeah, check the screenies in my Servers Thread ;-).
And indeed, different seeds for the same game would be a very interesting option, I like :).

Here is a sector/solar system generator tool I made. You change a couple values and it will auto generate the folders/playfields for each planet/moon and the sector file. You'll need open office and a java 32bit JRE for open office -

    https://www.dropbox.com/s/xk77v39zhotliea/Sector-Generator.zip?dl=0

Makes up to 12 planets, each with a possible moon. Simply copy the folders into the playfields backup your sectors file and rename the new sectors file, then play....

    Very fun for SP survival.

Both Europe and the US have fair use exceptions along the lines of " reverse-engineer / circumvent the protection to achieve interoperability", also we dont need the actual source code, we just need the functions and a place to hook into.
