It's one of my Tresari builds for the warlord faction. I have several others on the go but all at the texturing stage (their big builds so no internals yet), so I had an urge to take a break and so a small poi
Still working on establishing myself on Eleon's default MP server. This game really frustrates me sometimes. Trying to get ready for a resource run and my SV randomly bounces around and the HV inside gets embedded in the hull I'm having an issue with the Traders in the [Pir] Hyper City Colony where a trade window won't open when I converse with them. No matter my reputation level. Now is this a bug to submit a report for or is it technically just an issue with the configuration of the POI? Not sure how to get this info to someone and have it fixed.
Talk to the ELEON MP Server Admin @Taelyn (right?) - if it is something known or if a Bug Report is in Place.
Started a new 1.5 vanilla game this weekend. Just finished chapter 5 and scrapped the Polaris Ilmarinen for parts. Used all the goodies to upgrade my SV and CV ... A snapshot of my little Level 7 SV upgraded with 4 mining turrets and a shield ... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2511688831 And my Level 7 CV Shell (which I used as a home until I had thrusters) ... upgraded and decked out ... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2235347693 Now off to scavenge more goodies so I can get a bigger SV
Who's ship is this again? @Robot Shark ? I am going to mangle it for Raviens build challenge. Thank you for the build. Edit: Yup, ole sharky. I asked because I could not find it in the workshop list of "subscribed items." It was a ways back.
That's the V1 Osanshouo, modify it as much as you want. I look forward to seeing what you do with it.
Wont be the first time... My poor light carrier... As long as @Fractalite remembers Maxim 25. If a manufacturer's warranty covers the damage you did, you didn't do enough damage.
More work on the Ghyst Space Station Kit-Set today. All corridors so far. Corridor, Corridor with shields, Corridor with windows on one side, corridor with windows on both sides, corridor with 1 turret, corridor with 2 turrets, L-bend, L-bend with shields, L-bend with turret, L-bend with 2 turrets, T-Junction, T-Junction with shields, T-Junction with windows, etc... Still gotta do the X-Junction and then the larger cargo corridors; then the wall/ceiling/floor parts that make up the main rooms.
Actually, I did back-up at least my BPs on a separate hard-drive that I thought was not going to be part of the clean-up. I did procrastinate about saving them to CDs and I was apparently wrong about whatwas going to get wiped. I also procrastinated about publishing my BPs. I had already learned(?) that they could be safe in the workshop. It,s a lot of work lost. I'm especially disheartened by the loss of my Project Eagle BPs. Still a w.i.p., it was comimg along nicely and I was hoping to make use of it a viseo I was planning. Also, it sems I have to completely reprogram my G13 keyboard!!! Not that it's difficult , But it is so time consuming! Like I said, I'm taking a step back and re-think how to proceed. I love this game, even with the shitty cross-hairs. (have they been improved, I haven't seen any sign of it so far). Thanks again, and hopefully I will be a survivalist once again before too long. Bye
Whoever would have thought that widening the hanger bay by just one block would become such an ordeal? Did not help that I had the living quarters just above the hangars.
No, but they are easily moddable now. You just have to use a custom scenario and copy and paste 2 files to do it.
I've moved onto the larger structures of the Modular Ghyst POI Kit-Set such as the Cargo Corridors (which are now full modules on their own) and standalone structures like Hangars. This is a Cargo Corridor L-Bend (Left) L-bend (left) connected to L-bend (right). There's actually a gap between the two. And this is a hangar. There's a module that can be copy-pasted near the back that adds a modular vertical shaft. Both the personnel corridors and cargo corridors have connectors that allow up to 4 cargo corridors to attach to the Hangar or 10 personnel corridors (though would look pretty weird).
After watching the video on @spanj 's YT chan, I felt encouraged to try the Ilmarinen (Story Chapter 5: Ancient Revelations) myself for the first time ever. Man, that was a hell of a ride! Kudos to the creator of that challenge! Very good guidance through the waypoints. I DID IT!
More work on the Ghyst POI Set. On to the main modules. Along the front there you have the central modules. The left one is the connector module, with all the different corridors and rooms coming off each side so you can pick and choose which kind of connection you want between the module and any variant of corridor/elevator. Second from the left is the basic module. Two floors, staircases, empty. Can be easily customized and expanded. Third module over is a Core Room Module prefab that's fully kitted out either for instant use or as an example. The thing on the right is a section of wall with shield attachments if you want to add some armor to the exterior. Along the right side are the utility modules that you can slap on anywhere. Each "ball" has a different function (Fuel, O2, Gravity, Shield Generator) in case you don't have anywhere nice inside to stick a gravgen or shieldgen but need the functionality. The last one is a utility tower. Slaps on the side like the balls, has fuel, O2 and generators inside. Armored and spaced apart for safety. Inside the Connector Module. Empty Module. Two floors, lots of space. These modules are mostly combat steel, with some hardened steel for the skinny/deco parts. This is the Prefab Core Module. It's got locations for spawners, loot containers and sentry guns. Uses stairs since the AI get stuck in elevators and they look better.
jesus you have been busy really like idea and the build so far this looking forward to having a play with this once you release it
Easy for you and others, not for me. While I have a degree in Ancient Electronics (CRTs, PNP transistors and vacuum tubes), and have written an original computer program, I have a disconnect for such things. Whether it's Oldtimer's Disease or brain fog due to years of taking Metformin, I don't know. Modding is great for those who can do it. I love the big boob mods for Resident Evil! Oh ****!!! I just remembered I have to redo MY cross-hair LCD projection! Aaarrggh!
Almost finished with the Ghyst POI Set. For now at least... It's now class size 40. It also contains modular housing units (small) that come in 3 variants, including Empty, Housing Sealed, and Housing Windowed. With End-cap attachments for Bathroom+Toilet, Airlock or Closed. These are the main module extensions. Currently there's only three. Communications Spire, Radar Dish and Orbital Cannon. They can be placed seamlessly onto the bottom or top of any of the main modules. The Spire and Cannon have removable slots next to their connector for a shield generator if needed. Though the Spire has connection slots on each side for the "Utility Balls" and "Utility Tower" you can see at the edge of the screenshot. Here is the Solar Panel Array. There's only one variant so far. And half the Shipyard Frame for Shipyard POIs, Supply Stations or even Trade Stations. Shipyard frames come in 4 variants. Plain, Girderless, Double-Turreted, and Platform with a Corridor Connector. Tomorrow, I will be using the set to make a POI to see if there's any important pieces it's missing.
