The so called ALIEN plants or sprouts even put in a cargo box will cause problems if you make a blueprint of your base or ship and want to respawn it, in Survival the blueprint name will change to red and cannot spawn the blueprint without removing these 'forbidden blocks'. These plants and sprouts are valid items - and the only ones - enabling you to farm for medecines in the game, nothing 'alien' with them, nothing 'forbidden' with them. So I suggest to remove their 'forbidden block' status, they are not blocks anyway, or maybe change their name if this route is easier for you to eliminate problems with blueprints.
They're illegal because they have multiple stages of growth which each use the same template root. If they were legal, players could (and would) just make giant farm blueprints with fully-grown crops; spawn the blueprint; harvest the crops; Retrieve the whole structure and stick it back in the factory to spawn 100 emergency rations worth of food for free whenever they're hungry.
I'm not sure I understand you Vermillon. With all current sprouts I have already unlimited growth (and therefore unlimited food), where is the difference with alien ones?
And what does illegal mean? I buy the sprouts at the NPC vendors. If it's illegal why not removing them from the list? Why can't you do farming on a CV without a regular blueprinting of your CV?
Only the sprouts with the word 'alien' in their name seem to cause blueprint problems, I never had spawning problems without them, if I spawn my ship my crop places are EMPTY. Why can't you manage this when having alien sprouts? Is this so difficult to code?
Maybe I should have phrased my suggestion like this which has the same meaning: Allow us to spawn a blueprinted ship without problems in Survival.
I'm presuming that the 'illegal' bit is for on-line players as it shouldn't bother anyone else what any player in solo does, as for the 'blocks' name grouping... understandable because as with virtually anything else in the game only one thing can be placed in a two meter cube... annoying but that's what it is.
