Does your base have a shield on? Try turning it off. If you hit N to bring up the build menu is "connect to xxxx" enabled? Maybe try disabling it if it is. Did you try quitting the game completely?
No shield - though I know it looks like it. This has been this way since I first built the base, about two weeks ago.
I don't suppose you built your base upside-down? That may cause that. Otherwise, I have no idea. There's nothing in the scenario that could cause those kinds of problems.
OMG that's it! I had forgotten about that! I didn't realize you could even do that, or that it would matter, in space. Then I started placing objects and I had to rotate them all. I didn't realize that would adversely affect the crops, but it was indeed upside down. I don't have a grav-gen, but I've grown in space before without them, so I thought the zero-g wouldn't matter as to which way was up related to the core, I guess. Thank you!
heres some feedback on the positron turrets. so the tier 1 cv turret does 250 damage/240 rpm. 25k cpu. The heavy does 300 damage. same rpm, but 50k cpu. Double cpu, and 1/5 increase in damage. compared to something like the heavy artillery which tier 1 does 15k (rough damage) and the heavy does like 21k. like 50 percent increase.
Hi, Just had something odd happen... In my prior session, I'd taken out a Zirax CV that had been attacking my Space Station. Sure, I provoked the attack by drawing it it for my entertainment, but that's besides the point. The Zirax SPV ended up crashing into my station, where I was able to finish off disabling it. I then popped in my own core and began to loot it. I'd left various things on this ship, planning to finish off my looting this session but, upon reloading, the ship has vanished. Basically, I saved the game with a Zirax Ship - with my Core in it now - just sat there, yet I load and it's gone. Any idea what went wrong here? Do "captured" Space PV's not get saved or something? I'd most looted it - well-deserved, it was a hard fight - but there were still some goodies left to recover. Edit: I've gone through several backup saves - I make them regularly - and loaded one where I was in the process of looting, standing on the captured Zirax CV. Seconds (not even 5) after loading, the ship just vanishes. It seems that every save I have with this ship owned by me, it vanishes seconds after loading. The ship has my Core in it and DIDN'T vanish at any point during the original session, only when loading any saves from that session.
cool cool. damage increase? less cpu? also who did the Azure vrishni? Encountered that thing, was awesome special fx. I asked several people but no one had encountered it yet.
I never left render range, just saved then later reloaded. As mentioned, I did try several saves where the PV was permanently present (with a player core) during yesterday's session. Each time I loaded one of these - even if I was standing on the PV - the PV despawned within about five seconds.
I'm not familiar with RE but... if you only have 2 blocks space above your growing plot, then your light is taking one, so only 1 block space left above the grow plot. Something I'm missing ?
Same as vanilla. Vertically you should have: Grow Plot, Sprout, Grow Light in the centre-most block of the nine.
Just came across that experimental alien Tovera. This thing should give you a legacy shield generator or something as a reward for killing it
It certainly seems that way... bit of a shame really. It does appear that Eleon don't like us being able to keep what we defeat in combat, what with timed PV despawns and the inability to ever pilot a captured ship. Now add to this a save / reload despawn. It's good that we can find wrecks that are actually CV's and capture them fully - I've done that a number of times - but not being able to keep the active PV you've just spent ages (and a LOT of resources) to disable, board and capture is a huge shame. Note: I have successfully captured, kept and flown one planet-based CV. It was made to look like a large ocean-going ship and was floating (aka flying) on the surface of an ocean planet. I'd initially assumed it was just a BA-Class POI made to look like a ship. However, after I took out the core, the vessel sank to the bottom of the ocean after its thrusters turned off. I was then able to fully claim it, refit it and fly it away. That was FUN. Dunno why only a very few AI-Controlled CV's - assuming they are actually a CV and not a BA - allow this.
Yes, I realise the distinction, it's still a shame though as I've had to work a LOT harder to take out a (vanishing upon reload) space PV than I did to take out that planet-side CV - even though the latter was still pretty tough. I mean, all that work, al those resources spent and the bloody thing just depawns on me lol, hardly rewarding gameplay. It's a double-shame really, as now I'll just avoid such encounters for the most part. It doesn't help that when a PV is disabled / shot down, we often get the whole invisible walls issue where the vessel simply cannot be interacted with, yet continues to spawn troops aboard that aren't limited in the same ways. This PV was actually the first in a while that I'd had few issues actually boarding - the key being (unfortunately) have to save the moment the vessel comes to a halt, then to reload to make it able to be interacted with on foot. Still, I at least managed to salvage some of its equipment before it despawned. I get these aren't issues with the Scenario, but they're still irksome after what was otherwise a pretty fun encounter. Defeating a REALLY tough ship, only to have it vanish isn't great. Ah well lol.
