They the identifiers for Iron, Cobalt, Pentaxid, ect...but they are all ice. Description: I have created several survival games to test this and it always ends up the same. All the asteroids are ice despite having the names of other resources. Steps to Reproduce: 1) create survival game. 2) Fly into orbit 3) Go to where the asteroid resources are and scan them. In Exp I, the asteroids in the starting area's Asteroid Field where as advertised. However, in a fresh Exp II start, they're all showing as Ice Asteroids on the map, though individually they show on the HUD as Cobalt, Silicon etc. When I actually start Mining they do appear to be Ice. Here is a save showing this - mine the asteroid in front of the CV that's listed as Cobalt, but give ice.
They should all be ice (that part is intentional) but the lable was not updated. Sorry for the confusion. Will be fixed in the next update.
Updated: there are no other asteroids in the playfield. So, Crown orbit is intended to have nothing but Ice? >> wrong: Oh, so, got it. The Asteroid Field is *not* a convenient treasure trove of all resources - but the resources are supposed to be elsewhere in the playfield, outside of the four moon's "permiter?"
Same Starting on Barren for new playthrough Attained orbit again finally. EVERY asteroid no matter what marked produces ICE and only ICE. Exit game. Reload = no change. Back to save before leaving moon = no change. Ooops.. missed that until now.
