I like challenges and constraits myself. But I don't see that limiting the kind of ships that I can make - it just makes the building more interesting. I would not like to see shielded blocks - it would be just really cheap way of undoing all the cool stuff v6 has to offer.
Then you would be free to use the cheaper unshielded versions in your ships. Everyone would win that way.
CV Hanger almost done. Taken me nearly 10 hours to dig it out. Hmmm... Glitch much? For structural integrity had to dig in 2 4x4 concrete beams and drop blocks down to support the ceiling. I LOVE this game.
After a bit more hull detailing I was inspired for this morning, I decided to see if red is the way to go with this bad boy... Ooooh yea....
Well to be fair any room with heavy radiation will have some type of means of shielding the radiation from the rest of the structure in the real world . I'm not sure if the devs would spend time on something like that but It would be nice if the devs did but I can build around it and rebuild some of my old ships. My CVs are ok because I usually put the Warp core,fuel tanks, core and generators all in one area behind 4 block thick combat block just so I could last longer if I ever decide to have a rare pvp match. Now my SVs ans Hvs all need to be rebuilt .
I think sometimes we let little changes make us forget about all the major things you can do in this game . Went back to playing with the Portals (Stargates) . I know the Devs do not talk much about the fact that you can connect them and set up a network of Portals(StarGates) but this is a really cool feature for Role playing servers or just our own personal single player game if you're a stargate fan. . Being able to set up a Gate on Akua and travel to Akua's Moon and then back to Akua by walking through the gate has wondering WHERE ARE THE STARGATE THEME SERVERS?!?! lol Oh the memories !!!
I think the limits should be based on power usage . If you're going to use tons of turrets then your ship should take a lot more fuel . I think people should be allowed to build whatever they want if they have the ability to maintain it. Just make maintaining something with 20 or more turrets difficult. If you have 20 or more turrets and only have 8 minutes of fuel even in space then whats the point ? lol They could also increase resources usages for ammo so just simply making enough ammo for something with too many turrets isn't practical on a multiplayer server. I don't get the hardcap either. I would like to see a more creative solution.
