I watched several tutorials and did a few searches and was unable to find information on this. I like building underground bases and some planets seem more shallow then others so i'm forced to build under a mountain. So my question is: Is it possible to lower bedrock depth, or if not raise low plains height? Also I'm trying to create a planet with less mountains and more flat areas but I'm having trouble doing that as well. Thanks for any help.
2 ways I know to solve this, both require a little yaml editing. 1) remove the bedrock layer. Problem is, then your planet is hollow... Which may be desirable. 2) change the file that is called to determine terrain shape to one where the terrain is deeper. Barren maybe or desert 2? http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=832036944
Hmm, interesting thought... What if you changed the bedrock texture to something that is minable? It's not something I ever tested... May work, may just do a single layer then be a hollow planet. If you don't test it then I will when I get home.
Changing the bottom line only seemed to change the texture of the bedrock. which is good to know really.. Just playing with different things seeing what happens, so far only changing the numbers creates a hole in the world but i cant build here i just fall though and end up back on the surface
If you change the lowest layer (from 'Bedrock' or 'BedrockLava'), to something that is drillable then what will happen is you can then drill through it, and you will just fall through the planet. Bedrock or BedrockLava is required to prevent the player creating a place where all players can keep falling through all the time. Andy.
