So i am working on creating a planet, our players on the dedicated i run, have some low end pc's and we are working on making an empty world. So far all attempts have failed. how can i wipe all drone bases, flora and fauna from the planet and start off from scratch?

You can delete whole sections of the YAML file and if your careful should work fine.

For the plants and stuff just highlight the entire section, let use the forest as an example, highlight whole forest, backspace deletes it, then delete the line the curser is on, section removed. So essentially you highlight the whole forest section, but not the green title that says forest just all the forest assets, and hit the back space button twice and its gone.

Planet will load with no plants or forest.

You can delete the entire section also. Just be careful not to break syntax.

    As @Mana_Sean mentioned.

If you haven't tried it already:
In EPD you can start with an empty planet playfield. At least as empty as it can get. Just all the basics to be able to start the game/playfield.
Just select Playfieldtype 'planet', the Version of your game and hit 'New'.

Feel free to try it out. :)
