You're right! In this environment something like this is extremly helpful! And I'm again totally astonished!! (it's way more impressive ingame!) @Fractalite only thing is, I think it's better to have an open cockpit inside, not the full enclosed one, so you can drive there, stand up, do your thing (mining, looting etc.) then sit down in cockpit seat again without ever leaving the vessel... hm... need to make something like that... I'm also remembering some "Utility-Vessel" on the Workshop with sideway openings... have to look later... edit: Can you spot them? at least 15 Drones! Spoiler the rest is over the hills, when you zoom in... (it's the Drone Base, I'm coming to it next...) and it's getting more and more (check the radar! and still the 6 patroling the drone base on the hill)... Sadly it's like clay-pigeon shooting...
Now I check the ship The engines have everywhere equals and the same ... Please let me change it ?? I do not know why the move is different
Haha, now they wonna know! (I even had to rearm from my reserve ammo - I've shot more than 6000 bullets in this fight ?! I need to train more...)
I haven't been to Aestus in a while. It's hell to find a parking spot and the lighting is dim. Anyway, did you try the chainsaw on those scorpions?
It seems you have built it the wrong way - the starter block tells the direction of the ship. No way to change this - not that I know of. So 51 m/s is most likely rear of your ship. I don't think it matters though so just keep flying, it just shows stats wrong on the control panel. If I understood the second part correctly - you can press 'I' to turn off auto-brake. Then you can move forwards and it will keep moving forwards - until you brake yourself.
In bit more bulkier ships - I like to put downward facing spotlight or spotlights. They help A LOT with landing, you can tell better how far you are from the ground and actually see where you are about to land
interesting idea, need to try when I have one again (a chainsaw I mean) ;-) but in the moment I have a different problem.... uhm... I just got teleportet... INTO SPACE and look up the distance!!! WTF?! This Drone God must be really angry at me that I killed 30++ of his lambs shortly...
Your drone hunter lives up to it's name ! I think if you marked your kills on your ship - you would probably need a bigger ship
Oops. Type teleport 'Aistis' on your console to get back. And then just godmode back to your ship - in case you parted with it. Sometimes bugs can be fun situations to get out of - but that seems bit hopeless
Yes, excuse me - it would have been more helpful to say enclosed cabin. I was referring to enclosed cockpit - as in; to wrap the open cockpit with blocks so that you have a safe space. Both of those ships have that.
That's a whole mess of drones! I'd even consider pre-spawning a flak-only base and dropping it as close as possible to the drone base. Spawn, "P", Fill All 2X, and let it swat down some of the drones while you hammer the POI. Edit: @rucky, the other day I accidentally rode my motorcycle right into a narrow mine that went all the way down to bedrock. The next thing I knew I was flying through space with Akua receding behind me. Whee! It was just like the early days in EGS. I only wasted an hour or so trying to get my new Motorcycle Launcher to reliably repeat that ride. And no, I did not in any way put on the most space-proof heavy armor I could with an idea of getting to the moon without a ship. No way.
ah, yes! need to check them... when I'm there again.... meanwhile I'm trying to tramp... but these freighters coming very seldom.... and where is the bus eh freighter stop?
Fixed. Also if ya use the teleport command while in the SV Cockpit, the HV/SV/CV Cockpit, the Command will teleport the Vehicle too with ya, if it doesn't, it's Bug Report worthy. For the Topic: Partway through yet another SV Building Attempt... P.S. Pro Tip for new Builders: When building Vehicles, there are 3 Devices you should NEVER EVER rotate off Default Orientation: Core RCS Cockpit Should an accident happen & ya are holding a Device on this List & it gets Rotated by accident, open Inventory, pick up that Device off the Hotbar, then re-seat it back into the Hotbar Slot. This resets the Device Orientation back to Default Position. This is also useful for Hull Blocks to reset that Hull Block Stack back to Default Orientation Full Cube.
Always wondered about an RCS rotation/placement and what effect it really has. Or if it really matters. I've rotated them all different ways when I've used them as "wall decoration" in smaller builds and never really noticed much of a difference either way. So, does it really matter? And if it does, to what extent?
okay after two restarts (the programm really was confused, always trying to tell me "you will need some WARP DRIVE to get outa here!!" (it was 1.4AU at least)) Then I could warp but had strange things with my armor and weapon happen (they were over my head)... but now I'm back at my fighter and have a brake... thanx for the teleport tip!
Well maybe rucky had enough of the one lava planet - and wants to see the other one I'm always mixing those two up. Bollocks! I think that is a urban legend. I almost never put down RCS's in their default orientation, no problem. I've put down backwards cockpit, no problem (all it 'messes up' is the key you have to press to undock - it depends on the directions of the ship, not the direction of the cockpit) . I don't think the core matters either - but that I haven't tested. But I can't see how it would - because it's another legend that you can fix messed up starter block rotation which turning of the core. But it doesn't work.
