FINAL VERSION TEST RUN Originally requested on steam by Baleksus, Rafeal, Tal'ruan , and Merlin. If you guys have any changes you want , toss em in here and I will see what we can adjust. OK so, lots of POIs later ! All the civilian POIs have been taken out into creative and had the loot containers moved, just the alien round ones, so there harder to find you have to search the POIs again now, some are still in original spots some moved for the challenge of exploration of POIs. The max dangerous entities is 1 crawler for any POI with a purple container, and I painted most of the containers blue or brown so you cant tell whats what until you open it hehehe ! I have added about 20 extra civilian POIs, a few extra crashed ships and some buildings. Stone and wood villages are renamed and slightly changed. Animals on planets, reduced to one spider in the forest at night to enable the mission that requires it, there could be others Ive missed there as I haven't done the missions for a long time, if theres an issue I can update the scenario and sort it that way later if you guys report it here. There is a Multigate POI on the starters, it takes you to an Instanced planet, where there is a POI, you land inside the POI and better be ready for a fire fight, this is incase you get bored and just feel like some action, because its instanced its entirely your choice to go there, at the multigate there are 4 different POIs you can travel to and attack, ranging from moderate easy to insane hard. This game when I tested it, was pretty peaceful, however, some planets I had issues emoving the PV and drone bases, game keeps throwing errors, so they are still one the map, but I set the patrol PV to travel in an 80m round radius patrol so it should appear to just do little circles around where ever it spawns and shouldn't bother you unless you go inside its target range then it has the ability to chase you, along way so stay away from it if you see it. I managed to stop all drone base attacks on my test game it should be the same for you guys. Again I didn't remove the code I just set all numbers to 0 and that seems to throw a lot less errors, well none at all so far. I only had time to test Akua and Omicron in survival. If you find issues, imbalances or bugs, report them here and I can do a final update to correct them. Hope you guys enjoy, Link/ http://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1205648414 I jumped in godmode and teleported to all planets and had no crashes but I didn't visit alien space trade sections as they never got changed at all, but theres always the chance Ive missed something so have a play, jump in godmode and zip around the planets and see if you can get it to crash at all.
Ok well maybe a base start in a wreckage then ? That's gives you shelter to start with. What planet do or did you start on and what planet do you want the wreckage start one, any preference ?
I started on Akua and would prefer a wrecked site for a base to be near where the capsule lands if possible and prefer Akua as a starting planet unless Omicon becomes less harsh-don't want that ship hanging over us?. Seems to be a lot more animals on the planet Akua too?
Yep doing animal adjustments, and Ive been in creative a lot this week just changing the civilian POIs to only have 1 crawler and move loot containers so you guys have to find em again and putting a few civilians in to walk around for extra life at the POIs. That will take a few days yet, done about 8 have about 16 to go still, so many door codes to set to 0000 LOL ! We will get the planets sorted out first, when there all up to speed we will then take a look at the Orbits and see what you guys want there. Maybe there should be 2 Akua's ? One with a pod start and one with a wreck start ?
There seem to be a lot of talon guardians walking about-has that to do with the number of animals they 'look after?' I'm happy with one Akua but how about 2 moons and mineable asteroid belts for rare ores? The capsule onlt needs to land near a wrecked POI so that we can shelter for nights or repair it and make it a base, I think?
Ok so I have taken all the civilian POIs out into creative theres around 50 odd, and Ive been removing all the nastys and just leaving 1 crawler, Ive also moved a lot of the loot containers so you have to search the villages more to find stuff, its taking a little longer than I expected but will be worth it when its done. Im adjusting the spawn rates of critters, and removing the spiders except for one in the forest because you need one for a mission somewhere if I remember right, lowering other critters to 1 in some cases and removing some all together, so it should be pretty peaceful, but slightly dangerous at night. Ive got about a dozen POIs to do so I hope to push another test version out next week, it shouldn't need much adjustment after that.
Tried yesterday but got killed by the titan wreckage which fired at me! Seems to be more alien hostile pois!
Titan never used to be active so I wonder if the devs updated it, but I can take a look at it, see what the deal is. Only take 10 mins to correct if that's all it is. I will just remove the turrets from its exterior.
tried again today but still need more than 3 cans of bio fuel until food rots? There are still a lot of critters too!
What planet did you start on John ? And do you know what biome the critters are spawning in ? And do you know what the creatures names are that are spawning ? More detail will allow me to track it down fast. The Bio fuel I can update later today, so if you update scenario in 24 hours from now the bio should be sorted, I will take a look at the biomes and see whats spawning. Ive been working on a small city for this scenario should be ready in a week or so, to liven up the starter planets.No baddies in it.
The planet is Akua and there are raptors, triccatops and lizard mules all over the place including near the wrecked cockpit, my seed was 30041907 and the big trice was nearly in the cockpit when I got there! btw there are some large blue areas on the land and in some of the lakes which suck you in and if you get out you end up with a broken leg?
Triceratops are peaceful, unless you shoot em, so they didn't get removed. So are lizard mules. Raptors there should be just one that spawns at night so the PDA missions can be completed, one is needed. Large blue areas ? You have me completely at a loss here, I don't know what you mean, any chance of a screenshot ? Ive run it here and don't seem to have any blue holes issue ? How much RAM has your system got ? Are the blue areas actually missing chunks of terrain and maybe the blue you see is like the sky ? Only time I can get holes in terrain is if I load up all my RAM, I have 16 gigs, but if I push it to 15gigs in game I start seeing holes in terrains when I enter a planet, so that's why I asked how much RAM you have. I've 8 gb ram, ok Merlin and me seem to be the only ones trying your scenario or at least sharing thoughts? Don't understand yaml files if I did maybe I could do my own scenarios! Anyway another go yesterday. The blue bits are as you say holes which reflect the sky. I killed a spider and another one attacked me so there are a lot more spiders and there are herds of raptors not just one! The mules are too many too-keep bumping into me! Coping with the bio fuel esp now as we get lots of ingots so just need orom. Thank you for your attention.
So did you start a new game after updating it ? You should have 12 to 14 bio fuel when you start now. You should not see more than 1 spider in the forest but that's only if you have started a new game. 8GB of RAM is why your seeing blue holes in ground, low memory causes that all the time, my system is 16 GB and it will do it also when its out of memory and all I can do is shut game down completely and re start, then its fine again, but once you have loaded 2 playfields with 8 GBs its going to happen. None of the changes will take effect unless you start a new game. Got a few guys on steam also commenting and bug fixing it with us so your not alone dude !
So does that mean that if I have more than 1 saved game my RAM is reduced for each game? I'll try a new game later and report back. btw the miniports are good for resources tyvm.
