Creative building music compilation thread

I love everyone's contributions to this thread. Keep going! We all have different preferences and it is nice to be inspired in different ways sometimes.

I listened to the whole song and it really got me in the writing mood. Have you ever heard Porcupine tree? They are another band that I listen to all the time

 

This is a great song and Russia on Ice.
I have several of their cuss at the house. I've been listening to them forever

 

I've not been playing any Empy as S1 has just totally blown it out of the water, still reaching for the limits but the creative freedom is unparalleled!
Listening to lots of Carbon Based Lifeforms, and it seems to be working!


started with the Krait, moved on to Mephistopheles, now Leviathan is in the Space Moles' S1 Shipyard...

 

I tend to listen to more violent/heavy/fast stuff but here's some electronic stuff I find good for imagination.
I really liked that Radioactive Sandwich band btw.

I listen to a lot of playlists while I'm building junk, but I particularly like Smooth McGroove's playlist.

I find this piece particularly appropriate for Empyrion when trying to fit corners and bevels together just so....

From my childhood of loving percussion/perc. ensembles comes some African drumming(with a little augmentation - Thunderdrums is a very interesting CD/compilation if you are ever seeking something different)

I'm a sucker for almost any kind of trance.. goes well with combat too!

 

This might sound horrible, but I sometimes listen to the Rimworld soundtrack by Alistair Lindsay. I liked it so much, I bought both of the CDs. Should I feel guilty listening to another video game's soundtrack while playing Empyrion?



Otherwise, I shuffle play my music collection.

Okay. I might be a little biased!
