I have to agree with you dude. If someone wants to build a party ship then that's their business. People over value their opinion a little too much when it comes to gaming and what others "should do". Everyone should play this game however they want and very opinionated people should find a better use of their time than complaining about someone having fun playing a game which the whole point of a game is fun.
Didn't do much today. Spent around 2 hours or so putting technical data on the LCD screens in the Seer's cockpit. Goddamn it takes ages to do big screens like that. And though it wasn't visible from the angle of the screenshot in the last post, here's another angle that shows the EVA equipment and kitchen.
In my SP Arid gameplay I for last saved the 2 floating POI's "Unknown Artifact" and Shrine. Both pretty easy to do if know how. Used a simple SV, mostly built for use inside POIs. Lost ammo box and RCS only, had another ready for spawn if needed. (The block behind Pilot Seat is put on after spawn if to exit in mid air.). Next a CV to explore the system :
Very awesome looking, nice concept. I have yet to try floating bases, do you build it in space first to avoid si issues or is there some other way to make a base hover ?
Indeed. Not only is it fun, something different, but also allows the devs to play with animation. A lot of great things come from having a go at something a little different.
Thank you. I always use the: dm (debug mode) , gm (god mode), si off (structural integrity off) console commands to build. I placed a base starter block to the ground and a concrete. Then I moved the concrete to the air with copy-paste. From that block I started the work. When I'm done I just delete the block on the ground and save the print. Better to save the game and the print often and on exit, easy to forget after a restart this settings will return to normal.
Friday night after Friends, the Moment you want to work on your CV (MAUL, figured there are some empty Rooms.. ), but when you log in, there are some unfished HV's in front of you… One HV is too big for the starter CV 600 iron isnt that much starter anymore.. The other is probably a bit too.. Skeleton style.... What do you think?
So I've been messing a bit with the new hover engines, and my lvl 1 HV is coming together nicely. Inspired by the STAP speederbike from star wars. The key to using it is leaning back so it hovers higher. All it has are 2 hover engines, a generator, fuel tank, pilot seat and 10 iron ingot's worth of blocks.
I finally made it back home to Lodra after weeks trapped by a one-way warp. ("Away from home" Spoiler alert) Took over 100 AU of warping to get back here. Now, i'm basically emptying out my Lodra base and taking the leftover HVs and loading them onto the Dominion to take them back to Taroz. I rigged up some spare solar panels to the base to run the turrets if I ever come back. Also, the Hunter doesn't fit in the CV's hangar, so it sits on the roof.
The holidays came quicker as i thought but now i have finished the base shown earlier. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1492747105 (more screenies in the workshop) Be warned that the machineroom between the HV and SV bay is a bit dangerous without a jetpack. If you change or expand it, i would like to see pictures of it. greetings
I made landing lights for copernicus haha Loving the new lights but found 3 bugs in them within an hour of getting on exp XD reported them.
I decided to re-do the LVL 1 starter HV. It's not much, but it uses very little resources. I give you, the Tadpole.
I've finished up the T4-Spark, that's what I'm calling it, since it's a worse Blitz. You can get it on the workshop now! It is a bit tricky to fly though, but once you get the hang of it it works alright on flat ground. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1492961790 I just wish the hover thrusters had a little bit more height, 2 meters would be a big improvement.
PSA avoid coop turning EAC off will break your game i had to reinstall my game, and reinstalling dosent work @Hummel-o-War
