    A little more height would be nice.

    I just wish the devs would implement a long-standing request from me.
    Give the Multitool the ability to upgrade truss blocks to steel blocks.

    That would require the truss blocks to come in the same shapes as armor blocks.

    They do, truss blocks may not come in as many shapes as the steel blocks, but there is a corresponding steel block for every truss block.

    I realize that with all the hype of the anniversary edition, posting the Create CV online right now might be terrible timing. But the thing wasn't meant to be pretty anyways. And unless the update breaks something, this is how the Create will remain. I wasn't going to add blinking lights or retractable turrets. The only thing I might have added is retractable landing gear, but that can be an update later on.

    The main feature is twelve large constructors. I have one other CV that has this many constructors, but that CV is even bigger and costs quite a bit more.

    The production floor is on the top level with a decent view over the main hangar.

    And while the Create is about five times the cost of my cheapest starting CV, this CV also does not require any Erestrum, Zascosium or Gold. Not even one ingot of those high end materials. So as long as I can scrape enough for the cost, it is conceivable that this could be my first CV in a game based on mining resources alone.

    Today in my survival world I finally took out those Rados bases (Power station, Supply station, 2 bases, 3 Rados defenses all together) 1km from my doorstep. I've been there for over a week, but they weren't worth the trouble so I went around them... until I built a new, heavily armored SV to take them on.
    I'm now working on expanding my base... aesthetically at least. Big hangars and runways 'n stuff.

    In creative though, I made a derpy miner for making big tunnels for no real reason. It performs better than I expected actually.

    The first version only used S-thrusters on the front and got stuck nose-down against bedrock. It now has M-thrusters and can get back up from vertical. A lot of workshop miners have the same problem. Especially ones that are too long. (*cough*DrillPUP*cough*)

    Heeeeeyyyyy, I just looked through your last few workshop submissions and you have quite the line up of luxury stuff. Forgive me that I only just now noticed - I only pop my head in and out of the general forums. I am curious, did you have a theme or over-all expression in mind for those? Would you mind if I... borrowed... some of them. :D I am not quite sure for what yet, but in the event that I do, I want to get your permission.

    Have you tried a CV luxury build or BA? Any chance you would want to try a floating BA(you would be great.)

    To properly work on a floating BA, first open the console by typing "~" and then enter the command "si off." Then, type in "di" you will see a smallish black window with fun numbers appear at the top of your screen. Next, create a BA and add some blocks. Once that is completed open the console again and type in "setposition XXXX XXXX,XXXX,XXXX" Where the first "XXXX" is the I.D. and the second triple set is the position of the BA, only with the middle of the three, increase the number by about 100. Ish. You will get the idea. Remember to keep SI off!

    Anywho, just a thought. :cool:

    I came back to egs for 8.0 and upon realising the amount of water we can now potentially have, and how gorgeous the game looks from the water perspective I felt boats would be awesome, I had already previously discovered ways to make HV work as water craft in 7.0 and when i discovered hv can now have medi station and clone chanber i decided to push it forward with 8.0 to produce some boats.
    The original concept was just to have a luxury live aboard craft for exploring surviving PvE

    It was not until I saw a sv yacht made by another player that I realised how much of a decent hull shape we can get in egs for boat design.
    That 1 build led me to produce all the other boat hulls i made that look convincing.

    You would have to be a bit more specific there buddy because I am not sure what you are requesting, the permission to re upload my work for example ?
    Clarify more, I am pretty open ^_^


    I tried to stimulate my base building a few days back by making a simple platform base, however whilst building it i felt totally uninspired and like nothing special or different was being created.
    I hoped it would inspire me to build some other kinds of bases but as yet I just do not have the inspiration for it.
    I do have many stations and bases i built that will never see the workshop.

    The floating base concept does have me curious though, but how does a player place that in a mp server with set position command ? or are you looking for an admin only placeable floating base. ? Are you building such bases yourself atm ? wanna throw me some screenies would be keen to be inspired by some work !

    Did some quick experiments.

    Learned that if you hover higher than 1.5 meters, the new hover thrusters lose all "power". This was accomplished by replacing the RCS in the Mini Nymph pictured on the far left. That HV actually comes with two RCS, one RCS in excess of what it really needs. So I put one RCS back in and dropped in one of the hover thrusters. When within 1.5 meters, the HV actually picks up 1 m/s^2 in all four basic directions. Since the tiny HV is meant for enclosed spaces, that might actually be a common benefit. Now to decide if I want to actually make the update to the Mini Nymph. Odds are high....

    I also messed around with the idea of low cost HVs based on the new hover thrusters. Not level 1 HVs, mind you. Both the gatling guns and detector are unlock level 3 devices. For me, this is real cheap. But only a couple more levels and I have options that have served me well.

    Very specifically I am not sure if this will lead to anything, but there is that fun sensation in the nether regions in ma noggin that "there is something here" and I might use it in a POI in game. :cool: No promises of course, as sometimes that sensation turns out to be me wanting a piece of pizza, but you never know. I like to ask and also give credit if I use it.

    Absolutely! In fact, I typed up a small guide for how to do it and include some screenshots. It is "awaiting moderation" in the general forums. Should be up as soon as Mr. @Kane Hart moderates it. *nudge* *nudge* :p:D

    I am almost always working on a POI or four at any given time. I love making things for people to play through. I also love the story telling. I think it would be fun to have more floating POI's in the game and they are also very easy to convert to water bases.

    Been a while since I last played EGS - but it has once again been very enjoyable. I played thru the story mode - and I can highly recommend it. Advancing to the radar station in my shabby HV with couple gatling guns and battling all the patrolling zirax troops on the way there has been highly enjoyable, like a real living battlefield, guns blazing, rockets flying, drones attacking, zirax being mowed over by a wood chopper. You know, the normal war stuff :cool: It's been intense.

    Whoever (@Ramachandra ?) made all the pieces that made the Radar Station complex, Com Array, Fortifications and the Main Frame itself - I applaud you, extremely well done, oozing with atmosphere and good challenge without being unfair :) Also great amount of brilliant details that made me smile as a builder (also as in why didn't I think of that clever use of that block & texture:p ). Great job!

    Also - because I watched the EGS Anniversary update video by @Ashrai

    - I wanted to test HV turret hunting. Works like a charm! Just set your turret to PREY and go on a rampage. Bad thing is that the turret doesn't make any difference between adults and babies... so yes, @Starwing6 , dinosaur babies were harmed in the making of this screenshot ... :oops:

I made minimum alterations - just few solar panels and additional equipment, did not fill any holes or broken parts, I'm just basically collecting stuff and trying to get out of the planet and set up a colony on a new planet without wasting too many resources. Next step, orbit!
