I made an USS Voyager, as a SV! 1 Pilot and 4 passengers, with everything an SV has to offer! USS Voyager - NCC-74656 Have fun
I've messed with the mass driver today. Found out that spawning it turns it black and can't change its color for some reason. It's also long overdue, so I overhauled the FA-005 Hunter. Replaced the fat tail fins with modular wings. This is the first time i've actually looked at them. So much use as not-wings that it's sad that they're for SV only. Also replaced all the incorrect FA-05 logo with the FORGE logo. Completely re-did the interior so it's easier to get in and out, more storage, more power, more RCS and I fixed a bunch of textures and added some of the Seer's LCDs to the cockpit. Also... Shouldn't that say "X2" on the back and not "H2"?
The lettering on the back refers to the type and tier of the unit. In this case "H2" stands for "Harvester 2" The Mole-X1 and soon X2 refer to "Miner 1 and Miner 2"
For a while I wanted to make a catamaran type deal, and I do have half an unfinished hull sat in my Build lab xD I will get back to that one day but last night I was bored and started making another boat. When the hull shape was done I instantly hated it, was terrible, looked skinny from the rear driving position and ballbous around the bridge. So I had the idea to put side struts on and wound up with a weird cross between a cat hull and a tri hull or i dunno what the hell to call it apart from cat inspired, anyway the side struts saved the ship. Oh and...there are 4 retractable weapon turrets on the roof :3 https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1516918920
Worked a bit on my SP Base.. as I am not a man of much Fantasy but only of what useful - and not to far apart from each other - I brought most of the needed stuff within easy reach. Therefore the 4 Constructors close together and accessible from both sides. Just placed 1 Ventilator that fills the whole building with O². Great! WIP
I started working on converting the Javelin Destroyer to a CV today. Then got disappointed when I realized there aren't any wing parts for CVs. Then my computer's power supply decided to take a nap.
Dirt nap pretty much. It was becoming unstable so I had to replace it. I suppose I'll see if Corsair will RMA it. It should still be under warranty. I finally bought an SSD drive while I was there too. Installing that tomorrow.
Made a YouTube video. Not the best explanation of why I build my mining HV the way I do, but perhaps my observations might be useful to someone?
Till the early hours of this morning I was working on another yacht. Introducing the Electra 560 (hardened steel and minigun turret) Had to take it back down and upload it again after breaking steam, somehow I ended up with the workshop entry not listed in my bp list even though it was published so this is the second attempt at uploading, seems fine now. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1517621761
My second "playthrough" finished with great disappointment. There are 2 major parts in the game for me. First part: Starting out, trying to survive, building your base etc. All great fun which eventually leads to part 2: going to space, exploring your solarsystem and finding a new place to settle down. This playthrough gave me a solarsystem with all crap planets and none I really wanted to build on. So 3rd playthrough started I'm so looking forward to a galaxy sized game!
Galaxy Map, huh? If so, than that one please https://img00.deviantart.net/fc23/i/2016/204/7/f/star_wars_galaxy_map__wip__by_manaii-dab4pge.jpg
Sick of sand. I’ve decided to move to a cooler climate & since I needed somewhere to test out new base building techniques and of course technologies. I decided to build myself a new base. Welcome to Alaska Research Outpost. It comes with a completely unique land vehicle handling system. Can you spot this unique feature?
Decided to make a new SV today, one with the modular wings since I haven't used them yet. It handles well, is fast and looks decent on the outside. The inside is too weirdly shaped to walk around in. Was gonna scrap it, but decided to throw on generic textures and paint to see how it looked. That's probably the only reason i'm keeping it. It's just the FA-010 without a name at this point.
