I have finished 3 more of the interior rooms, only 2 more areas to go, the hallway and the bathroom. The finished cargobay, the door in the center leads to the hallway which connects the front and rear of the vessel. The kitchen is also polished up nicely, and has all things in it you'd expect. And finally I've carved out the crew quarters, the staircase leads up to the cockpit, and behind the camera is the hallway I spoke of earlier. If you look close you can see the windows and the cargo hold in the ceiling.
Started a new door-under-the-mountain / Moria style build: The other one I had started was a lost cause, much like the mine itself: more digging
Vvardenfell?!? That looks just like the Ashlands. ...well, maybe a bit higher-resolution. But damn if that didn't spark some nostalgia just now.
Yeah well, I spent way too much time scrambling around in those bleak hills - even with a good map, I had a bad habit of getting lost in the wastes around Ald ruhn. And then... you hear them... I wonder - with all the terrain tools at our disposal now, would it actually be possible to recreate that island?
This is more what I did this week in empyrion, it is a survival story from an online server. I started a new survival game at HWS, went for a boating approach of course Started out by making the Rio 330 33ft cabin yacht on the starter planet and shortly after 1 of my new lvl 7 SV cant remember what its called haha, small thing just for getting me into space to mine some asteroids. After scavenging the poi on starter for a day I used the WSV which was one of my early survival warp cv, small thing size 1, docked my rio underneath and left for the wonders of the galaxy. Found myself later on planet atlantis, beautiful water planet, here I constructed a bigger yacht the Electra. Was not long before I noticed little rio had water in the cabin, that was when it first hit me that planets gravity can effect the ride height of my hv boats in water, Atlantis had a higher grav than what little rios hover thrusters could tolerate however the electra was built with a stronger hover system, she was still well clear of having wet carpet. I then dismantled rio and made the deluxe which is my other new yacht with the catamaran inspired hull. However her hovers were weak as **** too but luckily she had plenty of hidden space to add another 4 large hover thrusters to get her clear of wet carpet syndrome. Shortly after I dock all boats to cv and leave to find a less grav water planet, eventually coming across paragon which was a decent size 4 planet with water enough to circumnavigate the planet. I created a small wooden solar powered boat house base here on the water surface with dock, my 2 hv yachts are docked there now, dumped my cv in orbit and then created an sv the copernicus which was my anniversary ship which docks on the rear of the boat house. I then disassembled the smaller sv i made. I explored some of the planet with this but took my first death also as when i got out to investigate a pentax deposit i was immediately popped by a turret I had no idea was nearby, im sure it regened as i passed it because it did not shoot at my ship until I got out, shot me then proceeded to blast the back end of the chunky butt copernicus. luckily when I respawned nearby, my ship was between me and the turrets so safe return to ship, could not get backpack though as it was in line of fire, I took off and attempted to take out the turrets with rockets railguns but to no avail ??? i flew back to the backpack parked my ship sideways as cover so i can grab the contents while the turrets pummel copernicus on the right side, still though it worked and i got away and copernicus proved its worth for durability, having a hole on the back corner but missing only 2 of the many rcs and 1 of the 8 rear jet thrusters. bunch of dents and dings and a some missing glass, I was impressed and took only a few minutes to repair by hand. I used my electra yacht to explore some of the planet by water and also over land, tried to attack a factory poi with it but with only one minigun turret and hardened steel this proved fruitless. Yesterday I constructed a second version of the electra with combat steel and 3 turrets )) plasma, rocket, minigun and today I will be returning to that poi to see if I can vanquish his big green turrets before they vanquish me. The electra has an advantage of having the core and power systems/thrusters mostly midship. This means head on fire will just drill through into the bedroom and survival cabin and almost likely never to reach the core area unless you sit there in one spot taking hits on purpose. The cockpit being high above the targetable parts of the vessel gives some extra safety to the pilot even though its open top haha its not as dangerous as you might think. The deconstructor is a godsend, the amount of devices i have from raided poi, i raid a lot of poi haha, pulling in nice amounts of z and e from it. As I build small I don't need much resources or time. It is good to finally be back in a real online survival game and at least now I can get to fully test my new stuff and adapt them. Also if anyone here plays on HWS and wants a free boat I have my old hardened steel 1 minigun electra still outside my boathouse, free to collector, set public on planet paragon. screenshot: wooden boathouse with 2 docked hv yachts and 1 docked sv and a floating powered hv yacht nearby (public freebie)
Land on a foggy planet, smash a hole in the ceiling above where you're taking a screenshot from. Boom, instant inside fog. It'll disappear if you walk away from the hole in the roof though.
What a great and, lets say, unorthodox design. You actually expect to see the Predator walking through the corridor of the last pic
Most creative SV Design in ages! ^_^ If ya ever stick this dude onto the Workshop, stick a Link here so we can throw it Likes!
I made a POI. I wasn't happy with one of the starter POIs of my Pharos line so I rebuilt it. This is a cache of sorts, a building containing crates of equipment for Pharos forces to use if in need. For the player there is the opportunity to "divert" some of the materials. There is a secret underground section that I hope has at least some challenges for ones grey matter and some treasures to unearth. Even if it does not look like it, everything can be gotten with some attention and patience. And a gun helps, too... First tests were promising but I think I might change the internal layout of the main surface room a little. Image? Yeah, image...
The T4-Vulture is now in the polishing fase! All interior rooms are finished. Bathroom's done. I'm really happy with how the interior in this ship has turned out, and unlike what I thought I was able to put a window in each room. Here's the exterior of the ship, though it hasn't changed that much.
SV? Maybe I need my eyes checked. I thought it was a CV. Either way, I have to agree with it being creative and deserving likes. But the workshop is a brutal place so our little likes here might be good enough.
