Thats Akua. (the game-save creates the a map.png for the terrain) I was testing around in Unity how to the game would look with different lighting and backgrounds. The planets are visually limited by the resolution of the generated terrain texture. (That one could actually have a higher resolution, or use some detail overlay.) Especially since the player is flying quite close to it.
I have several refits of old BP in progress in addition to a vast number of WIP. One of them is the Cassowary. I wanted to preserve as much of the look of the original as I could. Moved the cockpit back, more layers of glass, and even an outer layer of combat steel on the top, front and sides. I knew all this was done, but before I considered dropping this into my survival game, I took a peak at my creative work to see if the thing was at least sealed up and ready for testing. Looks like I should be ready to test this as soon as I have the resources stocked up to build it.
Yesterday I just wanted to move the Warp drive of the Polaris (CV Prefab Tier 2), because the Warp drive was shot out to me often. The result was a much larger conversion afterwards and it has only a little similarity to the Polaris. As it was already a major conversion, the hull and the weapons were upgraded slightly. Spoiler: Weapons For safety reasons, the entrance of the hangar was moved to the rear and at the same time extended slightly. Now there is also an entrance for small vesels. Started to create new planets for my Scenario: Spoiler: See Yavin from Yavin 4's ground But just as well, figured it is Long overdue to provide a spawnplatfrom for ships of the size I build - max size. Yet, because a simple spawnplatfrom would be boring, ugly and just a waste of mats, i decided to make it a space dock. Spoiler: MAUL Spawndock WIP Allthough the Bottom still looks flat, starting at the hole in the Bottom (force field) will be a 'downward Cargo tower' to bring down the mats that have been prepared in the 'main hall'. On the Bottom side of the base, will be several 'arm - docks' each with it's own material Pipeline.
