Now that the alpha 9 stuff is public I can spill the beans on what i've been doing. POIs. Lots of them. Here's the new talon bazaar that you can see in the experimental update post. Unless the devs caught it before it went into the experimental version, it should still have my FORGE AEROSPACE logo on the underside where no one'll see it. Not that slapping logos on the underside of prefabs is new. Some of the older ones have ZeroG on the bottom.

so today i decided to try and build a cheap relatively anyway assault tank HV however for context ... i have built 3-4 before in the past not attempting to make cheap ones either and they were complete trash ... the first one he cockpit was too exposed and that was the end of that one plus it was the cheap 50hp blocks so they took like a single hit and was toast but i thought it was the cockpit so i made a chair in the middleish of the tank and doubled the blocks then .. i kno i know ... i made a glass space in front to see from ... that didnt last either .. the thir one i honestly dont recall but it was a failure as well lol ... so its clear to me that i have literally no clue how to protect myself basically ... so im gonna bang my head against the wall on that today i think ... i will show what i have come up with and try not to make it fancy because lets face it if it doesnt survive whats the point in it looking pretty

Take a look at this CV I mad long time ago. (never finished it though) it may give you some idea. It has 10 different main gravity zones, 2 in the center hull, and 8 in the ring. Never thought I would play the experimental branch... but today I did. I hit a bit of a snag in my survival game. Although I was able to add on to a wreckage, even place a core, added power, but the large constructor won't work. Assigned an input. Filled the storage container with materials to build with, but nothing is being allowed. Not even the most basic parts. So I went over into creative, spawned in some blueprints to check out the modular cargo containers. I wish I could texture the extensions. One of the blueprints I messed around with briefly was a remodel in progress of my Star Cruiser. I think the size class of the remodel for the Star Cruiser actually went down. Now I couldn't get everything into one container. Without the ability to texture the extensions, I wasn't going to route them through areas where they would have to be the floor, ceiling or walls. But cutting that down to two containers was nice. My biggest fear was what all those extensions would do the size class, but I think it actually dropped 0.04 Another WIP I messed around with was the Goose, a light freighter. While I could simply the cargo arrangement a little, I also hit the issue that I cannot texture the extensions to blend into floors, walls, or ceilings. So the cargo stacks remaining separate entities. Plus a few other spots with cargo boxes either got small modular cargo boxes, or I replaced the old cargo containers with the appropriate small or medium stand alone boxes.
The night before experimental dropped I was playing around with making ruined cities in a playfield. Here's what I was able to get spawn before alpha 9: I mean not bad, right? But with the changes in alpha 9 EXP allowing POIs to be placed closer together I was able to get this: Much more believable. Could probably set them up in such a way that streets, streetlights, and various bits of debris would be between the ruined buildings. You should be able to make a ruined "city" of sorts now by grouping random POIs tightly together. I also played around with the new atmospheric properties in the YAML files. Neat red horizon with a blue sky.
After years with a spawn plate, and sometimes a little runway, I decided to make a Spaceport. But building without any plan takes time... Had to move the main building, and no copy paste in MP... Old main building can now go.
Working on a heavy lift cargo SV, remaking/modernizing my old outdated Dromedary Freighter . Mostly done other than texturing / painting and some interior devices. Holds 64,000L and can lift and fly with over 1 Kiloton of additional mass in upto ~1.3G.
