In sp it was fine to get in and out of cockpit but in HWS I found I was stuck exiting cockpit, so I changed the location of the exit square to a spot that works best when online.
Soooo. have given up a bit on the spaceport, too big, and not so practical. think it will be a lot better to make it modular instead of, but that will be in the future. So I decided to take an old CV that I used a lot of time to make, but never got completely finished, and use that for my next build.... Pic 1. the CV Pic 2. The idea I want to make. Pic 3. realized that I didn't like the squared look, so started from scratch... So another little fast build...………….
just built a very basic CV miner and published it in my workshop for whoever want's to use it. Maybe my stuff helps you?
After a few days travelling around in my modified Mule (the one i loaded up to workshop did not quite cut it for my needs after a short while) i figured i need a new "cheapish" CV that can carry around my SV, Miner HV and my battle-HV. I build the entire thing so light and cheap i could, with extensive use in PVE in mind, without sacrificing that feeling of it being a home away from home. NSI Starchaser (yah.. not a good day to name things i reckon ) The battle-HV enters underneath it. The Miner HV in the back. SV has plenty of space (good thing if you drank all five beers from the TOP-brewery) First room after exiting main hangar: Command Bridge: Storage and stuffs: It is a level 25, but not very expensive for a CV: I will use it for a bit before i upload it to workshop so i can thoroughly test it and see if it does ok in use.
Damn I love the copy paste thingy. The CV above was build block by block, in survival where I mined all the res. and build all the devices in game, no godmode, no itemmenu. Took me months. after a couple of hours, I have the hull ready, thanx to creative and copy/paste I just build 1/4th of the ring, then rest was done with scissors and glue... Edit: It has 6 gravity generators, so you would run around on the outer diameter in both rings.
I've started on a very neat project today. Remaking my first assymetrical SV, the T4-Albatros. This is quite an interesting challenge for me, as it's a ship with a lot of round shapes, which I typically don't use much. Here's my rough start. You can already see it's a lot bigger than the original, and I've tried to make "layers on the wings, which I think work quite well. In the center is the main engine, there's 7 thrusters in each direction, making this quite nimble for a ship it's size. The side thrusters are worked into the wings, hidden underneath the wing tips.
Well fuck me! That is stunning! As exquisite as always Jade. I love the interior of the "first room after exiting main hangar."
More progress, yes. I added in a bomb bay with decorative bombs, and added in a cockpit with a fantastic view. Don't worry about how exposed it is, there'll also be a buried secondary VR cockpit. I really love the decorative bombs in here. Really add to it. Here you can see the docking port, and the side entry ramp under the wing. The left cylinder will house the warp drive and such, while the right has the interior. It's starting to look like a real ship now.
Started work on a new planet, a variation of desert that's covered in a global dust storm. Going to have a combination of Terran and Polaris bases. To add to the effect of low visibility and interference from the dust storm, POI ID ranges will be reduced (probably to 200m or less). It will be hard to see and you won't know for sure what something is until you get close enough for it to shoot you. Of course there's always the territory map to give it away... Unless that disappears too. To add some reward to this planet, it will have better resources than a standard desert planet. Maybe some deep buried ore deposits that can best be mined up with an auto miner (my scenario is meant to be played with autominer depletion turned on). What are some more unique things that could be added to a planet type like this? Some unique crashed ships? Caves? Caves with desert golems? Maybe the local Polaris and UCH (Terran) settlers are very short on much needed supplies like water and would pay a premium for some. The Zirax should have a presence as well... Maybe the Zirax have water extractors/wells/etc... If I figure out the PDA, a custom mission could be to defend a Polaris water extractor from a Zirax raid.
More interior work. Mostly on the upper levels. Completed the primary medbay, officer's lounge, central access hub, some airlocks, command cryostorage, etc... This is the central access hub. It has several sets of elevators going into the crew decks and engineering decks, cargo bay, two of the ship's hangars and briefing rooms. It also has airlocks that go onto the portside and starboard exterior decks. Two sets of stairs accompany the main elevators shafts. Damn it, i've just noticed a derp texture. Need to fix. You could probably drive an HV through this ship if you stuck to the main corridors like this. That's the medbay on either side of the central corridor. It has all the medical devices necessary to treat all conditions between the two operating rooms. And here's one of those operating rooms. And of course, recovery rooms. Nothing like filling excess space in a ship with a full sized hospital ward or two.
FORGE AEROSPACE produces only the finest spacecrafts for both civilian and military use. It pisses me off when I see CrazyZ's ships tho. Sadly, they're better than mine.
