Another late night working on Nexus Station. It's hard to stop sometimes when you get into a groove. I finished the Casino and the Tractor Beam Control updates as well as one of the Habitat rings. It feels pretty good to be getting stuff completed. Now I'm working on the other Habitat ring. After that will be an update to the city level. Then comes the debug pass to add gravity, oxygen, etc and set up lights/LCD signs I might have missed and go over NPC placement.
Look at that evil magic fire. It even burns upside-down! A miracle of dark magic if i've ever seen one.
As to what I did today. I worked on a base built into a mountain got the threat level to 39.5% chance of an attack. 2 Red zone within walking distance. And still no attack I went to their zone and started sniping their men. Got to hostile status with em. Stood there on top of my base looked out had a few snags on the barbie still no attack. After the food and beer was gone. I packed up. Seemed no one wanted to play today Maybe tomorrow
It could be a function of the yaml in A10 experimental. Not sure. At one point I had poked into the yaml and saw a few things there. I turned them on to try them out. At that point, nothing happened so I didn't think much of it. But when the subsequent patches came, did the yaml stay there with my edits or get over written? Either way, what once was nothing appears to actually have some type of effect now.
Surprise! Thruster Blocking disabling them is now a thing! Ya'all knew it had to come sometime. If ya unblock the Thruster, then ya should be able to go into the Creation & go into the P Menu, then the Thruster Switch should look like a yellow 'half on' setting... reset that back to green & if the Thruster Unblocking was successful, the blocked Thruster should now Re-Initialize & resume function. On a related note, I am so glad I never used the Blocked Thrusters Cheater Strat so I have 0 Building Style Adjustment to undergo.
So far i could'nt find my newer builds affected by thruster blocking, if it is enabled now... --- Yesterday i thought about refining a buildstyle and begun building a new Scavangerbase for Alpha 10. With what i have till now I'am quite satisfied. As all my builds i used the second color preset. Find it more pleasing than the brighter first one. Texture and color use is spare and mostly for highlighting areas. Most of the inner structure will be open and used for HV and SV parking. Above the HV ramp is a small growroom with 54 plots. The Last one shows the "backside" with its big windows layered in combatsteel.
Oh my god, I am so in love with this design I cannot even find the words for it. The arch, little enclosed atrium-like space, seeing the grow-plots through the glass below... Pure fluffin' art. I WANT IT.
