I wonder if there is any way Luke (the original builder) can be contacted so we can know the name he gave it. Maybe Luark Station? (Luke / Shark) Since it uses alien blocks it cannot be uploaded to the workshop, I am debating on adding solar panels to it and making a player version.
@Vermillion Your cityscape is absolutely incredible looking! ... Today I've done some more work on the CV I'm now calling the Albatross. It's just about finished, but still tweaking or improving stuff as I notice it. If anybody would care to test it out, I've attached the blueprint. I'd especially like feedback on how intuitive the physicalized ship controls are and how easy or how difficult it is to find your way about the ship. Note that this is the full 'fat' version of the ship with 10.5K CPU and costs of about 4K in each of the rare materials, so creative mode or 'sbp' are recommended.
playing only MP normally so it's out of my controll. Handeling the new situation would mean to permanently live inside a CV and to take it everywhere. And if you look at base raiding from that perspective , it becomes nearly impossible.
I suggest to take a look at @spanj 's Channel on Youtube how he manages to handle POI Raiding on a MP Server. Eventually You find a , for you, suitable solution, or like @The Tactician[ Λ ] , re think your HV, SV or CV Construction.
Just want to say, I love @ASTIC 's Mod 'EmpyrionScripting' (formerly known as LCDinfo) https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1781584908
Did some survival today. Discovered that on the hardest difficulty on a desert planet, everything cheats. It takes 3+ rockets from my SV just to hurt a dinosaur. They seem to have 2 hidden extra health bars. Tried to take a pathetic Zirax Supply Base near my base. Didn't work out well. There's a combat mechanoid spawner inside the core room that I can't take out because the bastards respawn instantly and kill me with 3 shots, they're also cheating since they can see me through walls so I can't sneak up on them. It also takes around 6 shots to fully break brand new medium armor, which can't be right. It's certainly not fair. The core and spawner is around a right-hand turn so there's no cover. Did I mention they're bullet sponges because of invisible health bars? I'm considering just blowing a hole through the wall with my SV, which normally shouldn't be a consideration. But at this point, there's no way to take the core without heavy/epic armor with max armor upgrades. And... this is my base. It's been attacked a few times, but the base attacks seem to have been fixed-ish, so the drones aren't spawning right outside my base. Turrets are still useless since they can't differentiate between drones and troop transports.
For those who want to know more about CPU and what's behind...discovered this while looking through the scope of my Rifle while looking at Deco Blocks...
So I fired up Empyrion for the first time in quite awhile to check out a10. Went through my Starwarden CV and noted that I didn't actually leave much space for 3x3 functional block additions (ahem, shields). I think from this point going forward I'm going to have to change my design approach a bit. Mainly I sketch grid outlines in PS to get a layered hull shape, then fill in the details. I generally don't like leaving a lot of empty space so the interiors get filled up with 'stuff' of some variety or another. However, since Eleon keep adding these gigantic functional blocks, I think I'll just start sketching out a basic functional framework and then incorporate stylized shell elements around it with modular pieces that can be shaped in as extensions. I've been fiddling with an SV project that has snapped external hull shapes that can be expanded and fit around and internal layout. Example below (still very much a WIP):
Package that up, maybe remove the turrets, and add it as a Polaris Depot or something. KEEP FIDDLING!
I love the 4th picture. The subtle pinks. Reminds me of the cave in Un-Goro Crater in WoW(one of my favorite locals.)
After a "Detour" into "EDEN" ... found two nice Troopers that took care about my HV while I was inside an Abandoned Mine. The right one was seemingly so in need to get away from there that he even tried to jump on my HV while I was slowly reversing Well. I decided that its now time to go and lay the Foundations of the next Base - Building: The Mech-Hangar
