I believe it is time, AND long overdue, to start a WATCH LIST, for certain Avatar-Names and placed them on a - temporarily - BAN-List. All to stop that annoying nonsense!
It's name is always ThinkerBell, so it shouldn't be hard. Thinker: An individual that thinks, is cognizant or conscious. Bell: An inanimate metal object that makes a loud noise. Therefore it is a Thinking Noisemaker. Our evil AI overlords are starting to take over! We must not bow to their whims to go to gambling websites! Surely their goal is to take our money to force us into indentured servitude to their evil machinations.
Finished overhauling the FA-008C Seer today. It's pretty much completely different from the old model now. Rear view. The entire rear half of the ship is brand new and the new rear engine pods don't look like a pair of squashed hamburgers anymore. Front view. Replaced the undercarriage gatling gun with a Railgun, moved the detector off the front of the ship and inside and replaced it with a ball-camera. The wings were completely redone and based off the ones on the overhauled Hunter. The main thruster pods' designs were basically switched with the old hunter. Now they're the big wide ones, instead of the tall thin ones that now adorn the new Hunter. Interior, Rear cabin. Has two bunks, a shower and a toilet. Lots of storage too. The cockpit. It's a dual cockpit similar to a two-seater military craft. --------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- After finishing the Seer I went on to refit the FA-028 Spidertank. The original worked perfectly fine of course, but it was made mostly of hardened and combat steel and didn't pack much in the way of firepower. So the refit just had me replacing the heavy armor with regular steel and downgrading the thrusters so it could be built much earlier. ... and giving it a new paintjob. Spoiler: FA-028B Spidertank Front. Back. Here's the old FA-028A with the new FA-028B. There's not a huge difference between them visually. They were built to match the spider-themed turrets and bases I was building at the time. The Forge Defender Turret bases are now part of Empyrion as the Polaris Defense Turrets. Maybe if the NPCs ever get patrol HVs, the Spidertanks might be found patrolling Polaris territory.
I was wondering where you got the idea for those. I am opposed to wheels being added to the game, but I am all for walker legs. That might confuse Eleon a touch and introduce an Armada of new bugs, so perhaps do not bombard Eleon with the suggestions. Also, I suspect roving patrols are not being added because of Deco collisions and forests. Still, pair these with things like the new Polaris Asset Protection I just built that has that computer core as the boss room and you would have a Galaxy-spanning corporation as the cover, but secretly be a walker-driven super intelligence that attacks with stalking turrets and spider bots! ... which, if they were not out to dominate the galaxy and kill us all, would be pretty sweet.
got another colab CV project coming soon, and will be in my new stream series on the scenario "Project Eden".
After a lot of postponing, I've finally finished up the remake of my old T4-Albatross. I took the basic idea of the original, and cranked it up to max, alongside making it a lot more functional and pretty. The difference is night and day. The new Albatross is aimed at being a long range infiltration ship, coming with the ability to drop off troops and a proper bomb bay. It's also a darn good daily driver. Spoiler: More Pictures I know you say this with every new ship that you make, but I really took my building to the next level with this one. I feel like it deserves to star in it's own sci-fi series. https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1794353161
Hey Jeff, is there any chance you can post that in the general forums/suggestions/feedback areas. This is the "What did you do in Empyrion today" thread.
I'm still learning to navigate this forum. This is what I did in Empyrion today, but I get your point. I'll look through more of the threads tomorrow. [I found there's a bigger issue involved.]
Today while overhauling the FA-012 Wasp, I took the new ball out of it and thought "Hey, I can make this into it's own cheap standalone starter SV" and so I did. It's made entirely of carbon fiber and the sole purpose of it is to be a disposable SV for getting between the starter planet and it's moon for Cobalt and Magnesium. It's got everything you'd need for a short hop. No guns, no ammo box. It's full of storage extensions to ensure the player is kicked out of the ship when exiting and not glitched through a wall. It has no landing gear and no reverse thruster. It doesn't really need them since it can plop down just about anywhere and sit there perfectly fine. For a bit of insanity, it can be flown up a mountain and just turn the power off and you now have the god of all zorbs. I give you... the FA-035 Orbis: A carbon fiber deathtrap. ========================================================================================= Well, that didn't take me long so I overhauled my old aircraft hangar into an abandoned POI. It's probably one of my oldest builds. It's definitely my oldest base. It didn't take much to fix this one up. Here it is at night. The lights have been set to flicker at very specific intervals in natural ways. No flashing strobe lights.
Yo, I looked for the FA-035 Orbis and it's not up on the WS...I'm always looking for ways people have circled the square. Someone showed me how to make a circle, I put it aside for a few days and COMPLETELY forgot...so when you upload it to the WS, signal that somehow...tyvm.
What scale is that? I like how you have a squared or hexagon like circle, and a much more rounded main hull through the center...I can't do either...I'm telling myself I was going to small...
Well I painted myself into a corner. Broke down my orbital platform and decided to move closer to the moon. Halfway there I bumped into Zirax patrol ship that had more guns and was faster than I was. By the time I destroyed enough of its engines to escape I am down to my lateral thrusters, no forward compartments, 2 turrets and a semi destroyed sv (that was parked on the roof). Stopping was interesting, trust me. Started on basic repairs until I can get enough resources to fix the sv and go to my auto miners. Needless to say the Zirax are going to pay.
