    Yes happy birthday @Germanicus
I still have 7 days yet to go. Think my wife is getting me a slab of beer and ice cream cake. Not sure how they will go together but at 65  that day I don't stay far from the dunny these days
Still haven't worked out how she's getting the new computer this week and I get beer.

Interior is classified. It's nice. With locked doors, and lever-pulling and traps 'n stuff.

September is one of the months with the highest number of births here.
Mathematical explanation: December / January summer holidays (temperatures of 35 ° C) + end of the year parties + lots of beer + lots of joy = 9 months later it is September. Pure logic:D

Thank you each construct took me several months to make, except for the first city (took nearly a year) and the big ship you see docked at the station (that took over a year). The ship is so big and complex that you can easily get lost in there for an hour without finding your way... That's why I've never used it in game :)! I designed it to be the main stage of the big finale of my story scenario, who knows? I might actually do it one day...

Did you really use SV thruster in a base?
    This looks so cool!

POIs have no building restrictions. Any block from any type can be transplanted onto a POI without any negative effects when spawned as a zirax base; From asteroid rock and old-model constructors to SV Wings and HV drills. It just depends on what looks the best.
SV thrusters make great high-tech chimneys and thermal exhaust ports with the temperature increase to match. They're also quite good as salvage and can be carried by the player with Mass and Volume enabled, so it's a win all round.

Today's snow POI is the Rados Com Center. Unfortunately, it's an incomplete shell at this stage. I should hopefully finish it tomorrow. But it's 2am and I need sleep.

Basic texture and color are there to set your desired style, together with the form. Now search for fitting textures to add/highlight to it. The 4 beams above the hangar doors are easy targets. ;)

    edit:
Personally i break my builds in smaller pieces, texture and color them and then use the C/P tool to repeat them. If you look at the launchtubes or the underlying gangway to the front cockpit you can see it.

I think one of the issues people have when adding ribs and other bits like that to a ship is that they start with a shape they're happy with and then add the ribs. The problem with this is it changes the flow/outline of that part of the ship and unless you redesign both ends of that section adding bulk to match the ribs or improving the overall flow then it'll usually end up looking a little tacked on or bulky in parts. This can also have a knock on effect as you try to blend things back and try to regain those nice lines you have before you can end up remaking large sections of your ship.

What I usually do is either make and space the ribs to establish the flow and lines I want and then build between them or I lay out the general shape and cut into the ship leaving the ribs and reshaping between them till I'm happy with the results.

The issues i'm seeing with the ribs here is that they're not connected to anything and are a different shape from the non-ribbed armor it's "ribbing" over. They need to mirror the surface below and attach to a surface feature on the top and sides to break up the smooth monotony. Like a raised lip around the hangar door.

    Example:

    Based on the screenshot.

But that's just like... my opinion, man.

Since 1 block around the hangar 'opening' is 'locked' anyway,
you might be able to increase the overlapping effect by using an upperlong slope block with the full flat back to the outside and the unfinished slope to the hangardoor.

Just what came to mind first.
hth - Not sure if that helps with lips, but maybe for other ideas?

Birthdays have ..sometimes...the habit to let you "look back" at what you have achieved.
So instead of doing something in survival today I placed all things I have created in one place in creative.
Overall seen I have kept a rather Imperial/Alternate Roman Style through all of my builds.;)
