Well it would be bug report worthy if it was sill there. Today when I restarted the game the ant hill was missing. I didn't test it last night. I was just too tired trying to craft 50 emergency rations. It took almost 4 hours in real time! Now to me that is a bug when it says it should only take 60 seconds to craft one. I don't know how the speed of production effects the food processor. But as were so close to 10.6 and I'm already on experimental branch. I will try it again after 10.6 drops.
Finished the last of the Civilian Snow POIs today. I'm FINALLY done with them all. Just in time for 10.6 too. Since I haven't shown those off at all over the last week or two, i'll just give you a teaser of each. Experimental Engine Test Site Civilian Hub Research Center Transportation Hub This one's not a civilian one. It's a minor update to the Xenu Supply Station on the starter planet's moon. It's laughably called "rare supply station" in the name, but there's basically nothing else in the spawn group so they've always generated 2-4 to a moon. I've sure you've all seen it and know exactly what's broken about it.
I think we need to talk about your obsession with dead planets... Then again, I have made 6 different ones so far, so maybe I'm the one with the problem.
Did some testing for the custom PDA. Have an intro mission to find a UCH ship that will then unlock other missions. Testing it and it worked perfectly! It's up to you to find the ship, but once you do and fly near it, you'll get a communications to approach the researcher on board along with a waypoint above his head so you can easily find him. Then it will unlock other missions. Still more of a testing phase right now, since I'm still waiting on more game mechanics to be added before I really start developing the storyline, but adding PDA missions will be fun and hopefully add another layer of content that people can do in my scenario.
Well, hm, yes..just "Eden" was too nice, blue, green ... for me So I ventured on and found one of those other Dead Planets
Finally started on a new set of zirax POIs to replace the current rados set for desert planets. Desert planets are easily my favourite. Did the three defense bases first. Easy to do, sets the theme for other base towers. Which I didn't do for the snow ones. Desert planets have the best visuals There's all three of them.
Maybe someday ya all will have more options... for example, what if someday ya could make Planets that look like Dead Planets... but then when ya start screwin around with them, they turn out to be a LOT more alive then it first seemed... *Recalls quite a few variations on this that's been done before thus far... from the Movie "Pitch Black" to Starbounds "The Ruin" to those spoilerific interesting 'seems dead then actually comes alive later' one can occasionally encounter during Stellaris Play...* Wow... all that Sand... reminds me of this old NES game "Bionic Commando" & its Level 5 BGM... among my fav from the NES Days...: For the Topic: I've been doin secret Inner Circle stuff... especially HV Representation-wise. Someone's gotta look out for the Hover Tanks, Hover War Tanks, & HV Miners! Details of course will have to wait... there's still some leftover not-yet-Declassified stuff left.
Today I wrote up a bit of a roadmap for my scenario if anyone's interested in my future plans for it. https://empyriononline.com/threads/...ive-random-scenario.38334/page-32#post-370489
To prevent people from accidentally getting themselves in trouble with Polaris. The warning message pops up every time you come within 2500 meters of a Polaris Mining Foreman. I can use this for other things in the scenario too. Best part is I can easily control the message and when and where it appears. This is a neat trick I did not know about. I think I need to make the message less angry sounding though. Polaris should be welcoming to potential customers, assuming those customers don't try to steal their asteroids.
That is a neat trick! It'd especially be interesting if there was an actual little doodad sitting in Space that's job was to detect Incoming Ships & Broadcast that Message... then I could blow its little punk ass up as my response! (I do my own Mining bubs!)
Yes that should be possible. The PDA triggers when you get within a specified range, of a specified device, on the specified POI. So destroy the device or POI and the PDA should no longer trigger.
That's really good to hear Tyrax! While I imagine Hummel is getting just a wee bit tired of me posting about Capital Hover Vessels, I do hope that he'll answer one day... So.. not to be rude, and not asking you to reveal secrets, but how do you, personally, feel about (at some point) allowing SVs to dock onto HVs? My use-case is an FOB HV hauling a Fighter SV out to assault POIs. HV sets up ~1 km away, able to defend itself against drones/ground troops, then player takes off in fighter to knock out POIs external turrets, flys back & docks onto HV. HV goes forward to support player while player clears the interior of the POI. HV can haul a couple/few hundred tons of loot back to main base. I'm imagining that this would mostly be an early to middish game setup. Later game I'd use a CV for this. Though, to be completely honest, I'm -really- hoping to be able to go full out CV Hammers Slammers on those POIs someday!
