finished to polish one of my ship, one of my most successful cv... but it is a 200 millions cpu cv and it is just size class 7 ! well, i wanted to finish it before the end on official server ... he will and can only fly on sever without cpu limits.
Been enjoying building my first end-game CV with CPU weights / volume on. Been surprised how coming in well under CPU, though then I look at some of the behemoths that some people have built and realise mine is still just a titch! b00 - fab ship, I think I have seen that or a similar one flying around on the server and it looks great. First time I ran into it my computer decided not to render a chunk of it, so I got a great cut-away view like you get in technical manuals!
Finished S1E9/10 of Expanse (ewww) and then C & I raided the Zirax Archive on one of Eden's jungle planets via teleporter- many thanks to the gods of rollback!
Worked my ass off overhauling and updating more prefabs for CPU. I've done 4 CVs and like... 5 SVs in the last 2 days. Just 4 CVs today. Some just need to have their RCS removed, thrusters moved a bit and CPU extenders added, but some of the older ones... They require a complete refit. Interior and exterior. The ugly purple dildoship got a complete refit. Was full of illegal armor blocks, a dozen or so fridges spread the length of the ship like they're RCS and messy textures all facing different directions. Oh... and it was purple, but not a nice purple. Like Thanos' butthole purple. Interior I believe this was the tier 5 SV. This one required a complete redo internally and some serious changes externally. Same weapons (1 railgun, 2 plasma cannon, 4 homing rockets), it's faster and more maneuverable now though and has a shield generator. Some CVs.
Finished a warp capable T1 lvl 10 CV. The shape is pretty basic, and it's maneuverability sucks, but hey, it can land on planet, warp, and carry around one GrassHopper. Plus, it has grow plots. Behold, the BumbleBee
You sure you can't get it down to T4? With the new flight model thruster placement plays a huge role now and RCS's not so much. I'm building a T4 carrier that has 8 million CPU and its huge. I only have 3 t2 RCS but I'm using nothing but large thrusters . My carrier will fly, land on the planet and take off even with cargo. Also it turns just fine but I have 4 up and down large thrusters in the back 4 large right and left thrusters in the back then I placed 4 up and down and 4 right and left thrusters in the front. Of course I have 4 back large thrusters and 2 front large thrusters. It's flying around just fine. The interior isn't finished but here are some pictures to show you the actual size of this thing. I know if I can get this thing working at T4 you should be able to get your Star Destroyer to T4. 2 Hallways 2 cargo areas and hangar bays. This is just one of the hangar bays and cargo areas. The other one is on the other side of this wall. Here is the downstairs bridge
Nice job mate! Enjoyed myself driving it around! But I must say I was rather shocked that I could flip it upside down sitting still on flat ground. Using my mouse, I was able to stand it on my tail. The hover engines wouldn't have had anything to repeal against. I could also put it on it's nose. Funny part using the arrow keys I could still put it on it's tail but the nose, nope the craft bottomed out flat and it was like a hard stop at level. There is some weird mechanics happening here
Yeah, the new flight mechanics do some... odd things. And the rear docking pad is meant for "backing up into target" for docking, but if you want to spawn a few and line them up like books on a shelf, I guess that works too
so......everyones all good now? no more drama? GOOD! meanwhile im enjoying myself on project eden on the anvil, tho i just got my first CV to get off starter planet since Neo is crazy hard to get lol! cant wait to get my Nestor CV and explore the galaxy
So.... We may as well just take this out the way the sooner the better.... Has any of you guys been working with Elon in Tesla new Truck by mistake instead of with Eleon? If the answer is yes.... Shame On You Sir!... You had a moral obligation and everything you needed to do something way better than this!.... Even with CPU on..... Despicable!...
@Vermillion heh my new favorite toy the Lockdown is awesome, would it be possible to make a SV of it?
Problem with that new bullet proof truck is a small steel ball thrown by hand at the window caused it to break when they demo'ed it. must have had the wrong cpu tier in it
What would it do though? There's nowhere to put guns on the front of it and no mining/salvage equipment for SV. I suppose it could be a carrier, with an HV or SV underneath it?
