Curiosity: Have ya tried the Integrated GameDVR in Windows 10? It's among W10's few saving graces... To add to this, the supposed Backup Extenders eating fuel, power, mass, weight, & block space in the build doing nothing UNTIL their supposed fallback use is actually needed & starts actually functioning AND that functioning finally starts doing actual something. In order for this to pay off in Bang for Buck, how much bang for buck weight gained during 'backup mode' must outweight how much bang for buck loss happened during backup mode offline time. (Likely a VERY long span of time being at full power instead of backup power to boot...) How often will this ever happen? IMHO it'll happen less often then how often Zirax Soldiers will drop their weapons, unclothe to their alien equivalent of Boxers, then start doing the Macarena... Not to mention that it seems like Survival Mode availability of access to T4 Extenders x4 for a single Creation is lookin like it's gonna be rarer than access to Minecraft's "Mending" Enchantment...
To me and i think to many others; these CPU changes just ended up nerfing the game and devaluing it to something we may not want to play wholeheartedly in the future anymore. Maybe its time we go to Steam reviews and keep it real?
I'm not giving up on the game... though I am speaking my mind to the Devs on it. Also I don't believe in Reviewing Pre-Full Release Games... just doesn't feel like Logic to me... it'd be like judging a CV Build before it's fully done... as if somehow having the audacity to think I could have any right at all to walk up to that unfinished CV & TELL it what kinda stuff it's gonna be made of in potential BEFORE that stuff & potential is even there... acting like that just doesn't sit well with myself, so I don't ever wanna act like that when I can help it.
I've not, but I have solved my screen recording issues, now, if I could just do something about my screwing up issues while trying to record.... Not sure if my version includes this though (Win 10 Enterprise - Microsoft Gold Partner), but I can certainly look. If it works, it works.
Ahh, didn't expect ya to be on Enterprise... I run W10 Home. Look for the Game DVR in your W10 xBox stuff... it should be there or it may not be in the Enterprise Version. As for screw ups... my suggestion is try Lampshading it for laughs.
If it's aimed at PvP/ multiplayer, servers use custom scenarios, so the vanilla game might not be a good reference on this aspect, and surely not singleplayer. Honestly, there is no sound reason to have backups if players can make spare extenders of the same tier so they can simply slap them into place when one is lost. There is also no reason to go PvP without any kind of fall-back plan, but there are all kinds of players out there...
In other words... excuses so lets just pull out the "its alpha card". So predictable. The game was released on steam in 2015 thats "five Years" ago.. And it doesn't matter if it was released in alpha or not; the point is that it was released in this state on steam so open to review. If you don't want people to review the game then don't release it. So its logical to review a game thats been released and therefore after playing i have a legit right to post why or why not i don't like it. And after 5 years you have an even more legit right and reason to review it. Perhaps you will wait another five years to review because as long as it says Alpha its all good? He's not saying others can't leave any kind of review they want. Why do you take this personal ? I can say some are hypocrits, not naming anyone, and everyone can agree : some people are definitively hypocrit and immature. There is only a problem when pointing at someone in particular, because it is not trying to debate a subjet ; it is trying to demolish a person. So if I say "this guy is stupid" it is not the same as saying "this guy's idea is stupid". Ideas can be changed, not the people. And even then saying "someone is this or that" instead of "has done this" or "has said that" leaves no room for amendment or improvement : we can't change what we are but we can change what we do, think or say.
First off, Who said that he said that no one can leave a review? Looks like your in the wrong thread bud. A better question is why are you taking my simple comment so Personal? Its just a comment bud, deal with it. If your going to go into victim mod everytime someone disagrees with you then your definitely taking it way too personal.
FWIW, I've left my thoughts on the store page as a mark of frustration. After seeing the same discussions in CA, EXP, and here - after seeing the devs continually ignore core criticisms in favor of polishing fecal matter... I've had my fill. The game I put ~1800 hours into just isn't there anymore, it's been buried under an avalanche of bad decisions and obnoxious nonsensical limitations. If you'd asked me in A3, A5, even A7 if EGS was worth recommending, I'd have wholeheartedly answered yes. But things change, and it's been a continual slide downward for a while now. I'll be quite happy to eat my words and adjust my feedback accordingly if the current trend reverses itself. If Eleon gets their act together and stops plugging their ears, shunning people on their own payroll, and is willing to actually fix problems, that would be the best news. But until that point, I've left my thoughts where they're hardest to ignore. Might poke my nose in occasionally to check how things are progressing, as I've done for the last several months, but for the time being there are better games out there, made by better devs, who know how to take feedback and act on it.
You. Surely you understand the benefits of keeping your personal frustration off the back of other players. I deal with it and tell you what it is : your frustration passed on another player. Man up and address the developers in the same way, I'll watch you. Go. You're the one being very reactive here to a post by another player simply stating his opinion on leaving a review during early access. If you don't want others to react then just start a private discussion with the guy and nobody will intervene. It's a public forum, your freedom is mine too.

I didn't jump on another player because he doesn't feel like leaving a review : you did. If you don't want moderators to erase posts, then just stop posting stupid attacks, or "deal with it" as you say yourself.
I formulated my argument on why i thought he was wrong on waiting until full release to review the game. I never said and would never say that he doesn't have the right to choose what he chose, period. And you using words like jumping him or reactionary is a tactic used to try and paint you and him as a victim and me as a villain so you can get support and be shielded from criticism of your views. Bad tactic, try again.
Your words are there for everyone to read. Now "deal with it, bud". You "invited" him to leave a review on Steam, he politely declined and explained his stance on that, and then you try to make him look ridicule. That's not about the game, it's about his stance on leaving a review under the effect of frustration. Do you need another player to hold your hand to write a review on Steam ? Are you asking for our approval ? And if you think you can freely jump on another player for so little, can't I do the same ? Good for you, not good for me ?
I completely understand you man, i'v had many empyrion friends leave for similar reasons. And this makes me feel bad. I won't put my review in just yet, i'm going to wait just a little bit longer to see if anything positive changes, and if not i will be making a very detailed review of this game and why you should not buy it.
Might do a blooper reel, with some fouth-wall breaks... a bit more my style, but lemme finish the actual bit first lol And no, I looked - No Xobx stuff, no Game DVR in Enterprise. No biggie though - got something that works just fine.
