I wonder... would it be possible to place an asteroid (belt, but with a single asteroid) in a close enough orbit and "trick" the game to treat is as a regular warpable "belt"? Would fall into the realm of "astronomically reasonable" things to find in close orbit of a star.
Normaly it should be work to place a empty orbit at the same position of the star , i will try it out later .
On the edge of the ramps? Nope. There aren't any that shape yet. There's a couple of small corner ones, but that's it. __________________________________________________________________________________________________ Today... I made a new HV: The FA-057A Custodian It's... an armored artillery truck with big guns. Painted in desert colors to match the Raider Technical (Forge version) Guns are retractable. Which isn't practical when you consider that retractable weapons don't work properly. Has a clone chamber, med station, O2 station, armor locker and shield generator. No constructor because there's no point in wasting 2k CPU on a constructor that can't make ammo for the guns. Like every ship, it's currently crippled by bugs that prevent it from turning at an appropriate speed and giving it an impossibly high roll value.
Created another small (Starter) HV SQUILLA, Level 7. Its unarmed, just for carrying looted stuff and cutting Trees down. CC + Harvest CC + Constructor, Armor Locker, Fridge, 2 additional Cargo Boxes for Fuel, O² and other Personal Stuff. Only Truss Blocks and Devices used. A certain Droid-Question with the following answer comes to my mind: "What do you mean my Parts are showing"?
Finally finished The Wolf Hunter, been building on/off on that for ages... https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=1936489250&searchtext=
Building a mountain top retreat overlooking parts of my base: Still needs much sathium for the windows
Overhauled the Pelican today, dropped it to LVL 15 & CPU Tier 3 build. No longer armored, no longer has a shield (but I left the space to mount one). Drastically upgraded it's cargo capacity. It still jumps like a scalded cat, and handles like a semi with the power steering out. But I tested it under full load in a survival game and it can still take off with 4 fully loaded HV's docked. Not many changes to how it looks, but I hope it's useful.
I don't know if it's a mistake or it's a step to get aquatic life. For my part I like it, except I couldn't shoot underwater !! It is an oceanic planet and they reproduce practically all over the water apparently regardless of depth. If you do not see the images I apologize, it is my internet that is running at medium speed and may not be uploaded correctly. They are Telluropod everywhere underwater! At least there is always one at sight 3 at most close.
To kill Creatures in the Water I use most of the time a T2 Sniper Rifle while standing on the shore or on an HV/SV...you can even kill plants with it
You can also dig a hole in the ground on the ocean floor to make an air pocket and shoot from in there. Actually, not sure if the survival tool's defense mode works underwater, so that might work too. What's annoying with telluropods is that they spawn on the surface of the water and drop and it looks hideous when your hovering over the ocean and they just appear in the air and drop into the water. _ _ _ _ _ __________________________________________________________ _ _ _ _ _ Started work on the next gen of Stratus Skyfortress today: The FA-058A Altostratus All my big lift-based aerial CVs are gonna have the names of clouds. So the stratus, altostratus, cirrostratus, nimbostratus, etc... Different types of aerial CVs will be different cloud types. Consistency is good. This one will probably be a Tier 3 now that T3 is easier to achieve and the resource costs for the ship alone will probably take longer than making T3 extenders. The Altostratus is about 33% larger than the Stratus, with longer and wider gun pods, thicker armor, heavier windows and a full compliment of atmosphere-capable guns on the underside (Altostratus's 12 vs stratus's 8) with additional slots for another 6 normal size retractable turrets on the main fuselage (underside) and potentially another 12 on the wing joints. Nothing else fires in atmo, and projectile turrets are capped at 12, so there's not really a need to fill those slots. The top of the ship has a retractable artillery for space use and currently that's it. But it has the same number of slots on the top as it does on the bottom for kitting it out as a starcruiser. The Altostratus can also function as a proper spacecraft with thrusters in every direction and fast turning without RCS. I've just started on the interior, so all that's built is the bridge. Nothing is textured or painted beyond a flat all-encompassing coating of steel plate and gray. Also needs some more exterior greebling and design elements that'll wait until i'm painting and coloring to see where they're needed. Like the Stratus, the Altostratus is a fuel-efficient POI bomber. Turn on the shield and glide it over a hostile base and it'll destroy everything on the surface.
@Vermillion, and all you creators who fashion huge beautiful elegant constructs . . . Every time I see one of these beauties I'm impressed by the vision and creativity of its maker and also a bit sad that: there really is not much "point" in the game for such things, at least not from a gameplay standpoint. I cannot wait for the day when there is an option toggle in the starting panes (along with mass, volume, cpu): Require Crew? YES/NO And, getting crew requires relations with a factino, AND getting crew requires hiring them, AND keeping crew requires feeding and housing them AND trying to operate big 'Ol battlecruisers without crew lowers operational efficiency dramatically, AND we have a crew management pane similar to that in a simple 2D game like Star Traders Frontiers, AND crew can die/get upset with you/defect . . . There are so many possibilities for this game. IF the developers make it happen or at least make it possible by exposing enough of the back-end to allow modders to do it.
If the Modders are patient enough to actual wait with their attempts to increase the game quality until the Devs have finished to introduce new features and actually switch from Alpha to Beta I would say yes, lets have some Followers, Companions, Crew Members or however you would call them. But not right now(what is exactly what leads to hot arguing as those who want to mod are not supported to do so by ELEON).
to celebrate the Rise of the Skywalker movie im making a premium first order star destroyer the reason for premium and not normal build is im personalizing this for my own use, it will be up on the workshop for people to edit too
I like it But its the Funeral for Star Wars (Storytelling)created by George Lucas. I very much dislike the Mickey Mouse Story of the last Trilogy made by the Goofies in Charge of Disney.
i just like star wars for star wars besides the last jedi i like JJ take on it, i even watched Rebels cartoon and liked it, but i know is not everyones way of thinking, i do expect a ton thumbs down on it as well, but meh.
