Reforged Galaxy practical testing day... 6? 7? Relocated to an adjacent desert planet today. Spawned my base that's been sitting in the factory for a day or two and went mining for the last bit of neodymium I needed for my CV (Stratus type-b). Finished that after feeding the factory half a planet's worth of materials since the playfield changes in A12 left very little wreckage to salvage for parts and took it on it's maiden voyage back to the starter planet to loot my starter base. Unfortunately, I found a severe problem on my way back. The damage modifiers for the Space Laser Drone were unchanged, but I increased their firing speed and projectile speed. So a single laser drone at the warp point back completely decimated my brand new CV in about 5 seconds as it outdamaged the shiny new legacy turret with the first shot and then proceeded to stitch a line up the back of the Stratus' hardened steel exterior and cut clean through it taking out the warp drive, half the turrets, the core and the ammo controllers. It did look awesome though. But it's not meant to do that (at least not instantly), so I cut back the damage modifiers and respawned my CV and transferred what was left of the cargo over to the replacement ship since there's no repairing that. It was completely gutted. A second before impact. A CV pulse laser normally deals about 1000 and the legacy turret deals 2000. This is a stream of about 40 lasers, each one doing 3000 damage with the default damage modifier. Also updated a POI and did a lot of mining today.
Nope the goal is a game ship and not an exact replica, it is not a prometheus in its pure form because in sizes 74x128x28 it is almost impossible to transfer all the lines of its hull. Its sizes in the lore Length: 415 m2 Beam: 163 m3 Height: 64 m3 Decks: 15 which is already stressful. Later after this project I will try to build a replica of approximately 1: 1
