Did you somehow ask me, on Zeus a through hangar, do ships fly in front or behind and fly out from the prototype side? ... then I liked this idea. You know, when building this ship, a smaller problem will be to charge it with oxygen. =) It will be a huge ship! Of course, I could make a huge cube, or a pyramid, or something economically huge .... But is it interesting?) Everyone loves big ships and guns. Finally, I want the developers to already add weapons of mass destruction that can only be put on capital ships and they occupy 50% of the entire ship - Yamato Gun, Ultra Reil, or something like that.
Seeing the curved building in in @TRX post gave me a thought - always wanted to do something to go with the arid/desert worlds, so started to have a fiddle with the basic empty shed: Cant do a 'Tatooine' without a droid
A bunch of my hangars if it helps: Magellan - basic 9x5 entrance keeping the full 5 block height so some SVs can fly over some parked vessels, then a couple of tiny bays for small HVs at the back. Orion hangar - 4 entraces - 13x7 for large vessels including my 'CS2 - Shuttle' CV, 2 9x5 side entrances and at the end a ramp entrance. Can accommodate several large SVs or HVs at the same time as a CV and several small SVs/HVs. Super Mantis (not yet on workshop) - this is a large split level with a 13x7 rear entrance, and a double door pair of 9x7 for the top entrance. The top deck is around the top entrance without obstructing it. This mean I can park 6 or so small vessels around the top, medium and small HVs around the bottom and bring in a CV through rear or the top. If there is a CV parked blocking the rear, then can still easily get in and out with SVs via the top. Saturn CV - much smaller hangar with 9x5 entrance but also a dual deck - setup for many small SVs and HVs (have had 6 in there before), but can accommodate a single large SV or HV on the main pad as well and couple of small vessels on the top deck.
Bugfixing Reforged Galaxy. Ran a test against a Level 4 Base attack by putting a base within 1000m of a drone base, which gives you a far higher base attack level than the normal 0 difficulty of everywhere else in the universe. It seems I went overboard on point allocation, since what landed from the troop transports was an entire army that completely overwhelmed the defenses. This would all work much better if I could tell the turrets to ignore those stupid troop transporters and focus solely on the drones.
Thanks for showing this. It leads to the point where further Sorting Check Boxes should be added to the Target Priorities: Attacker Ground / Air
There would be less problems if the drones were faster and went in first instead of the transports. That's both the tactical thing to do as an attacking force and it would mean that turrets would open fire on the drones first, regardless of whether they add a seperate targeting option. For whatever reason, the transports always go in first. In order to give them a fighting chance the devs gave them massive hp so they don't die instead of the common sense thing of either making them slower so the drones go ahead of them, or making the drones faster so they can outpace the transports. They hardcoded drone and transport speed so you can't even change them if you wanted.
Hm, was this actually a Bug or why have those Drones over the Moon -Titan Wreck been so squishy? In one of Spanj's play through's he had several of those which moved really fast.
I'm retired! I refuse to be this station's gardener! I know they can't afford to have a front door but come on!
Nope still there. Even the abandoned mind I took out today had grass all on the ground level inside and even covering the ramp down. This was the 1st Temp start I have tried after going public. I had been playing in the snow start and never had these problems after public.
Would you please file a Bug Report - if nobody else did it already? I believe @Pach could share also a few pictures to that too
Lol. The bottom photo looks like an actual assault. Not the 3 Zirax soldiers that I kill with rockets all the time. Man I need to download Reforged Galaxy...Sounds like my thing but would mess up my friend who likes to build pretty CVs next to base...
The intended output is 4-8 troops per transport, but this is more like 14-16. They come out in a perfectly-space square formation. Your friend would probably be happy with RG. It has no CPU costs on building blocks and makes it easier to place things like ramps and lights without their stupid auto-alignment.
