Today I jumped a bit around between the Stars. Than I came to a Star System which contained a rather unusual Concentration of Resources around a Dead Planet.
Sounds like that place should be a BA location. I would set one up lol. Usually my requirements for me to set up a base is to either be a temperate moon (I like the soundtrack and atmosphere) or have a lot of rare deposits.
Finished and thoroughly tested the new Ilmarinen dungeon today. Finally done with it. Speedran it in under 15 minutes with nothing more than a couple of T2 guns, heavy armor and a couple of basic meds while running Reforged Galaxy. No deaths. But I know where all the traps are since I built it, though I still set them all off because it's required for testing purposes, and the ones designed to spook the player or induce paranoid don't really work when you're double or triple checking to make sure they aren't gonna get stuck. @Fractalite tested it too. He didn't know where all the traps were, and one particularly scary one I thought up earned me a "f$%# you".
Today I conducted tests of the resulting ship ... it even turned out well and quite flexible, as I like. Just look at this couple. Gravity 5G. What I want to say is that all this is nonsense, that this is not a bug (https://empyriononline.com/threads/turrets-hitboxes.94144/), in theory the tank should cling to the bottom AND THIS WORK ALREADY in alpha 12.3, but then apparently the turrets stopped being "this is not a bug - this is a chip" and now we will get out with a big Gravity as we can! I spend the latest visual and sensory improvements.

Technically, it was yesterday, but I put together another Outpost. Outpost 13. 3 levels that include living space, farm / constructor, and HV bay. Technically 4 levels if you count the top-side SV landing pad. Constructor, storage and farm are in the sublevel to provide a bit of protection. I built a CV that was supposed to be a base module. It would lose out on the benefits of solar, but in exchange I could transport the CV from world to world so that I could essentially take a part of my "base" with me without having to deconstruct or pack up its contents. Well, today I worked on the tier 1 version of one of those bases. The base pictured below doesn't have a farm. The farm is the CV. Yes, it is tier 1 BA. There is plenty of room for tier 2 CPU extension and some upgrades. Now I suppose I just need to finish some of the other CV that are supposed to be alternatives to the farm to dock in the second bay.
A little more progress on my new carrier - hull taking shape: Little parallax based optical landing system for the CV dock in the ring similar to that used on military carriers (glide path and dock alignment): You are above and to left Exactly on path Once as far as you can go, level and drop down and align the docking crosshairs with hud crosshair, and go forward until the red one disappears and let the landing gear lock.
So today I braved the new world of Taldor as a Trader start on the Eleon US server. Actually able to make a go of it (level 5) until some joker decided to pillage the Polaris trading stations ☹ and kill everyone. IT'S A FREAKIN' TRADER START … and they’re playing like marauders or raiders or even worse, like Zirax. No way to trade, make $ for food (yes, I’m out) so I logged for the day and played solo rather than facing hours of boredom and frustration dying endlessly on the barren plains until the next wipe in 8 hours when the trader's respawn. Soooooo … how was your day …. LOL.
I had a question. I am on a MP server that is only a few days old, but I see ppl in the player ranking screens that have millions of trade volume. I'm just wondering what ppl (I'm assuming) are selling to get such high trade volume? Some ores?
On our server, one of my sons friends completed a week long project of building his first CV from scratch and showed it off to us. Almost killing my toon in the process when he knocked me into the air with it. Another player recorded the entire unveiling and set it to appropriate music. Behold.....and possibly NSFW.

Thank you all. He is QUITE proud of it and still improving on it after we all chipped in and added CPU's to keep the project going last night. He discovered pop up turrets and now it will be not only impressive but dangerous. My wife wanted him to name it the S.S Bill Clinton but he is still working on an appropriate and up to date name.
