1. Solar power is weak. Should be able to run a small base on 15 panels. the power they generate needs to at least double. 2. having to keep my cv powered or my food rots and plants die. Dedi servers dont stop running. need some sort of CV solar panel which powers only the fridges and grow lights. 3. empty ish galaxy. Were runnign eden reforged right now which largely fixes that though. 4. space seems "static" no floating spinning debris in dead ships, no floaty dust etc. 5. space is loud. shouldn't be able to hear anything that isnt vibrating through your hull. it at least needs deadening. 6. flight seems very arcadey. watching my mates asteria detroyer doing static flips and stuff just looks dumb..
oh , and everything is too "Clean" if that makes sense? abandoned stuff has some but it all looks very cartoony
yes but then you basically have to live on a lava/desert planet or in space. what if i wanna chill on a nice beach on an ocean planet?
Only 3!!!? If I post more than once can I have more than 3 1) the player drone's imprecise floaty controls 2) having to reloading the multi-tool and drill 3) LOGISTICS! Seriously it not being connected to half the game is so frustrating.
I couldn't resist 1) the bike! 2) Hover mining (honestly i think the whole things needs to overhauled (-maybe HVs can carry mining drones instead)) 3) Having to add more blocks in creative mode (infinite block block please)
Ongoing faction warfare where they actively gain/lose planets and whole systems, coupled with player NPC fleets, would be AWESOME. That would be the first step towards mimicking the endgame of a PvP server, where after the point where a SP game usually ends, you're now ready to tackle the real challenge (other players). Base the number and power of ships in fleets on the available resources, governed by a trading system, and things like sabotage missions open up, or tanker capture missions. That right there would make the game SOOOO much better. And for the players who don't want it, make it an option. If it isn't an option... just join the Polaris/Traders and enjoy permanent neutrality I guess.
...of course....soooo much Better.... Announcement: "Empyrion Galactic Survival will be released in 2030" "Earlier Dates have been cancelled because the Majority of the Game-Testers demanded to a have this Survival game to be a COPY of Star Fleet Battles which turned out to be the end of the Survival Game itself in transformation into a PvP Friendly Game - a step that has lead to the loss ot 80% of their Player Base - but the PvP Community loved it."
A wise man once said.... If we can't get the dog to eat the rabbit, skin the rabbit and give it to the dog piece by piece. (Might be an inside joke)
Almost all of the above are on my list so I shall only have 2 1) When new features are introduced there is often no clear communication of what they do and how they are supposed to work. This is especially problematic when a small feature is added and then tweaked when it breaks something else. The introduction of CPU and the new flight system would be examples of trying to do it correctly. But most of the changes to those systems that were introduced later suffer the same lack of information about there function and the problem they were trying to solve. This is most recently demonstrated by the SpaceDefenceSystem (no I will not use the acronym) Introduced with no clear explanation of how it should work, no clear explanation when a fix was released for what it was trying to fix and how it should now work. This consistent lack of clear communication is a frustration to all and I believe the source much ill will. As can be seen here https://empyriononline.com/threads/self-destructing-npc-ships.94979/ 2) Volumetric lighting. One of the things that originally attracted me to this game was the clear visuals. This was especially true at night, lights worked well and illuminated clearly, and finding a light source was a welcome event. Now with volumetric lighting lights do more to obscure than illuminate. This mechanic diminishes my enjoyment of the game. Edit -- When I wrote new features I mean that to include substantial changes to existing features.
Most of the wise mans I admire have been gone since millennia... "If the Mountain does not come to the Prophet the Prophet has to go to the Mountain".
Hey... while the Boss is not around... here's a little game to pass time : Where in the world is Kassonnade ?
1) space is not very dynamic. Would be nice seeing fleet battles between various factions 2) planets suffer the same problem. You go from POI to POI and not much happens in between. There should be a chance to be attacked by patrolling ships or enemy ground HV's 3) no end game progression system
