I'm playing Project Eden Ultra Dark Rogue ... yes, I know, I'm a glutton for punishment ... LOL

I currently have a small HV miner with a single retractable turret and an SV with 2 wing mount turrets. It seems the SV turrets have good target and fire capabilities, whereas the HV seems to go dormant quite often. In the HV, I can have 3 Zirax in my sights and the turret just simply does nothing. Even firing the gatling does not engage the HV turret.

So, what am I doing wrong? What am I missing? How can I get the turret to fire? It does so randomly, but never at the closest target and definitely not at the target I'm aiming at?

    Suggestions????

Nothing except that this has been a problem with all turrets for several alpha versions at minimum... ;)

If you're using a retractable turret on an HV, they suffer from detection problems due to their larger baseplate obscuring their targeting for anything below the level of the gun barrel. They can basically only shoot upwards.

Ahhhhh ... that might be the issue. I've noticed it most on my little miner HV which uses a retractable turret so I can stow it when mining. But even so, when I back away from a target and "nose down", it "should" then overcome this and track/attack ... which it only does about 1/2 the time :-(. Guess I'll just have to use it as a miner only and figure out a different "tank" style option for a 2nd HV :).

    Thanks for the info!!
