That Moon/Planet stamp thing is awesome @Kassonnade , I mean to hell w billboards and advertising satellites right? Just doing a quick flyby. Good to see everyone & hope you're all doing well.
Today I have decide that I will be making the civilian POI that Jupiter asked use to make in Reforged Eden on a rogue planet. Basing the design from the only active underwater research station known to the public . The Aquarius Reef Base as a reference. Man I do love the rogue planets... It's pretty spooky with ravien_ff's effects to make the planet appear to have no sun. Love the aesthetic. Makes me feel like this is an interpretation of Catholic Purgatory...A cold hell praying for deliverance or at least an end to the perpetual feeling torment.
Hey! Nice to see you around here again ! Hope you stay a bit! Well, these tweaks and stamps and planets... so damn picky... But I'm not giving up ! Not yet. .
I do need to find that then. Are you referring to the dead planets? The purple ones? Cause they don't give that feeling to me of suffering. Just...A dead planet.
Well think I'm happy with my new base just have to work some more on my scenario so I can build it in space. will take a few resources.
You are not the only one who tries to make CVs appear part of a BA. So how do you help them "auto-align"? Here's mine. If you look at the picture carefully, I can easily pick out the BA structures designed to help align the CV. But when I was looking at the pictures of your BA and CV, it looked far more seemless. Really like that.
I designed another heavy lift SV. I wanted something with at a bit more lift capability and a bit more firepower than Brute, but without getting super huge. This one just barely fits through the doors of my CV as long as I go in at an angle. (It's a bit wider than it is long.) It's in the workshop at https://steamcommunity.com/sharedfiles/filedetails/?id=2203047167
And this is my work-in-progress CV, which isn't ready for publishing yet. I tried taking some screenshots in orbit but it just looks like a black blob up there. I took out an Imerat class destroyer with it last night without breaking a sweat. (Of course, I was careful to stay on the side that doesn't have the artillery cannons.) I was going to make this one more colorful, rather than my usual black theme, but then I picked the name. Nothing named after the goddess of the night should be brightly colored.
I made a thread. https://empyriononline.com/threads/how-to-seamlessly-integrate-a-cv-into-a-ba-image-heavy.95547/
(a little bit late, but I found now the time to read all) ---eng--- Looks like a hair salon. If you turn off gravity, the hair may rise on its own and you can easily cut the tips. O: ---de--- Sieht aus als wär es ein Frisiersalon. Wenn man die Gravitation ausschaltet, steigen vielleicht die Haare von alleine und man kann ganz einfach die Spitzen schneiden. o:
(a little bit late, but I found now the time to read all) ---eng--- What will it be A Zirax boy or girl? Do the Zirax have any gender? O: Isn't that an ultrasound image? O: ---de--- Was wird es? Ein Zirax Junge oder Mädchen? Haben die Zirax überhaupt verschiedene Geschlechter? o: Das ist doch ein Ultraschallbild, oder? o:
---eng--- Today I was finally able to publish my POIs, the camps! Yesterday I had to test the x23 train mission and last week the Battlestar Galactica. In between, I kept working on the tents. I actually wanted to build a Talon POI, too, but I didn't like the wooden carts. I couldn't control the car properly. Golems should push the car. So I positioned holes in the car and made them appear there. A pulling harness in the front did not fit optically. There is no special reward in the POIs. But you get plant seeds and lots of nutrient solution. With the Zirax you get a box of meat. The Ripper Dogs don't like plants. To gain experience, these POIs shouldn't be bad. The Zirax can become very heavy if you are not careful. At first I thought it might be too hard, but if three Total Horror or Scorpios are allowed to show up in a closed room at an abandoned base, then that's just as deadly. I once died in "cautious" because a gun trapped me while I was assembling an explosive device.
Well after a month in a new game running Reforged Galaxy I've finally gotten my first base completed except for a few details (additional guns, a structure or two more, texturing, etc). Here is the same picture with labels to provide explainations: The Main complex houses everything needed to manufacture and breakdown items, quarters, and garage for HVs and small SVs. Its primarily an underground bunker (concrete floor w/ no walls or ceilings except in limited places) with an attached small house located on the side of pond behind it. The Farm BA is a four building (two 9-unit plots per bldg) complex. Each building is two floors with top floor growing plots and bottom floor dedicated to stores, power, labs, etc. The Landing Field BA serves as a place to hanger my larger SV. I'll likely be adding more hangers (a must for protection from occasional attacks) and a repair bay area. The Farm and Landing Field BAs also serve as outer perimeter defenses for my Main BA (many an attack has been stopped before actually engaging the Main BA defense turrets)
I did something different relating to Empyrion today. I went through my watched threads and pruned out all the obsolete ones. Kinda hard to believe that I have been with this game since Alpha 3. It was also a trip down memory lane for me. All the build challenges I once hosted and participated in. The old screenshots with the old models. My old "stealth ship" that enemies ignored (don't bother to ask how to make one, they patched it.) The old suggestions, looking them over and remembering which ones made it into the game (and which ones did not). The old build experiments. Just a trip back in time, and it makes me look forward to what is coming.
I did something horrifying... I merged HV, SV, CV and BA into a single functional grid, while keeping their individual scale sizes. It's larger than a small vessel, but smaller than a capital vessel. It can use every block type as a single unified ship. I also did the same thing for an SV-sized ship (right) but that's not practical for performance. This ship type will displace all ship types in the ADRIFT scenario... one day.
