I try to get into custom maps, but i just cant get them working in an existing savegame.

I tryed to add an asteriod to a space map, just to get started, but it seems it just is not created.
did a wipe poi, exited game and deleted cache.
    I miss something obvious, right?

    and another question:
the existing asteroids have this "Properties: &o2" line in them, can annyone tell me what that "&o2" part does?

    thanks a lot!

You seem to dive into advanced modification of Empyrion. I suggest you learn the console commands and get familiar with them by opening the console and type help.

To see any changes in any playfield you need not to be located in that playfield and have reload with command playfield 'playfield name here' or pf and the changes should load on the next visit. Bear in mind though :

    1. For a local scenario changes should be first made on the local scenario folder under playfields.

    2. For a scenario you subscribed in the workshop things are complicated. You need to find the scenario under the workshop folder under steam and make changes there. Problem is that if the scenario is updated in the workshop your local files will be overwritten and any changes you made will be gone. To avoid that, copy the scenario folder under the local scenarios folder rename it to your liking and use this as a scenario to make any changes.next time. Again a problem rises that if the scenario is updated in the WS you will never see those changes on your copied version unless you do again the manually copy. This time you have to make a backup of all the files you need to keep unchanged, and restore those files on the local folder to preserver your editing.

It is deep dive and dangerous activity but you can do it at home safely. :)

i think the playfield is random generated, it is nowhere to be found in the scenario folder.
'guess its time to give up on messing with the gamefiles and play for a change.

It's best to make a custom scenario instead of editing an existing save game.
