Did the Tovera receive another buff? I was messing around in a single player world doing some tests, and even with ships designed to engage Toveras, I cannot get in close enough to shoot at it without my shields being demolished within seconds. Are Toveras supposed to be impossible to defeat? They were already pretty tough from last patch.
Are crew blocks(-2500 CPU) unique to RE? I can find no way to build these crew blocks in survival mode, but I can design a ship blueprint in creative mode..Then spawn the ship in with these crew blocks in survival mode. Is this considered cheating? What is the story with crew blocks and -2500 CPU?
you can buy human and alien crew at some traders (i.e. the bar at polaris tradestation) and i think you need to put crew into factory for spawning? on another note: is it vanilla that ba get less cpu than cv from the extenders? (and have lower max cpu)
Yes it's also like that in vanilla. Bases don't need propulsion so they need a lot less CPU. Nope. You'll still need to add something to the factory for it.
Yes. By default the Base tier 1 limit is hardcoded; but bases don't need thrusters or lots of generators to support those thrusters. With very little CPU going into storage and nothing into building blocks, bases have virtually no limits.
Ah, the cpu for trusters, yes. did not think of that even when it is the biggest cpu user... I just wondered why i ran out of cpu for guns faster than on a cv, but i guess my space base doesn't really need to be armed that much. Thank you.
Is there a known issue with structural integrity being affected in RE? It seems like frequently removing one small block in a base makes huge sections of the base collapse. Could this be affected by mass in the BlocksConfig or something? It's frustrating, everything just falls apart.
Holy Sh|t. I copied our scenario aside and made the adjustments for our server...........on April 5th. If I had been one day later we wouldn't have this problem. Well, thanks for the heads up Rav. This sucks. I'll try to fix it without a server wipe.
Wow, that's an easy fix. I haven't touched the Materials config. I'll copy the new one over and restart. Thanks Ravien!
Ravien_ff and Vermillion, there is an extra quotation mark in the Templates.ecf that is throwing the rest of the file off in VS Code. In red below, just fyi. (Actually there's a few of them I'm seeing here and there now that I'm looking.) { +Template Name: PlasmaCannonChargeSS #"Pl.Charge SV" OutputCount: 25 #D1 SV 20 "
Coming in the 1.5 update of Reforged Eden, on the Reforged side at least, will be a huge addition to the lore side of the game in the PDA, including an Information section that will explain various features of Reforged. Some will unlock in your PDA as you find a relevant item, block or unlock/craft a specific item related. Ecology of Empyrion: Dozens of entries that give information on the wildlife in Empyrion. They are automatically unlocked when you kill the corresponding creature. From everything from the Leafcutter Insect all the way up to the individual types of Gigas. Data Packages: Entries explaining game mechanics, how they work and other useful information. Entries include the Reforged CPU System; The Nutrition System (which most people don't even know exists); Using the Logistics System to move/place large objects; Which weapons are effective against shields and which aren't; Base Attack System; Secondary Firing Modes on Weapons; Upgrading to Heavy Turrets; And how to use Enemy Turrets. There's also an option to open a window that displays your current Alignment statistics within the story missions, which i'm sure most people didn't realize exists either. Basically your actions: Either heroic or... not, determine your alignment. At certain thresholds within certain missions, you'll get extra dialogue options that will allow you to perform actions and change the situation. At present, only the pirate mission: Unlawful Possession includes such Alignment options, but more will be available in future missions. Planned: Technology of Empyrion. Like the Ecology of Empyrion, but about the various items and technologies encountered.
@Vermillion This sounds great. Can't wait to see it. One Question, is there a specific reason why Pentaxid seeds can't be grown in Hydronic Bays? Because in SP I think those and fibers are the only ones to grow in quantities.
Hydroponic Bays are added by Project Eden. Pentaxid Seed Crystals are added by Reforged Galaxy. There is currently no cross-over model to support crystal growth in a Hydroponics Bay... yet.
