Build: 1.5 3366 Description: No enemies spawn at story line locations. The spiders are missing from alien tower. I skipped that step, no infected inside. I skipped that step. No zirax at hindenburg. Quit game started new one... Same problem appeared. Steps to replicate: Start a new game in new build on temperate planet. Tried twice, both times same thing happened. No mods are active.
This happened to me intermittently in the last build, with the exception of the Science Vessel reloading the game usually resolved it for me.
Out of a sense of thoroughness, I decided to validate my files to make sure the problem wasn't on my end. Found 2 files that needed to be redownloaded. Doing one more validation to double-check and will start a new game see if the problem persists... Edit - This appears to have fixed the issue, will continue new playthrough on 3366 to make sure...

I had this happen to me while streaming. It's not that the spiders didn't spawn. They did. However they and the lizard mules nearby had no AI implemented. None of them would do anything, even as I racked free kills on the spiders. No infected in the tower basement either. Gonna see if revalidating files helps (steam's doing that as I type this; 11 files affected). Edit: Revalidated files, went through again. Chief faced me this time (faced away last time), which I wanted to take as a herald of better things. However, upon reaching the tower, there were a bunch of Talon warriors spawned in varying groups, but no animals, spider or otherwise. Utter lack of spiders. The tower is void of life as well.
